Too much hassle, they need to fix the site for prepaid buyers. At step 3, the link to the next page is disabled. If you insert 'stepfour.asp' manually, the browser will not retain all information regarding type, pickup location etc...

So ordering for prepaid users is pretty much impossible, unless you accept the method described above...

@DikkieD

You may try the steps I mentioned, as long as it comes out as "no-contract" and
"prepaid" and "booking ref no"!

Gd luck

Yup, it worked. However, when I arrived at the final stage I was asked for my TAC number. I only have the original hotlink scratchcard which doesn't include a TAC number. Since I am currently residing in The Netherlands I cannot have that number send to my phone, since the 012-hotlink number is not working here in NL sad.gif

Gotta try and find that Tac number smile.gif

Cheers

Ilya

In theory all should work fine from the Netherlands...but then again, that TAC will not arrive...

What's weird is that I haven't used the SIM in about 10 months. Still on the scratchcard it says that it's valid until 2013....but when I activate the phone it says: "Unregistered SIM"...probably because it cannot connect to Maxis/Hotlink in M'sia...

@ tinkerbel:

Yes, that's because I am arriving in M'sia at the 1st of August...so I figured why wait when I can already order it, so I can pick it up the day after arriving, unfortunately Maxis disagreed with me smile.gif...

I received a proper answer from Maxis regarding preordering from abroad. Seems that I can only be done from out of Malaysia, since my old Hotlink is not 'active' anymore. That TAC is N.A. sad.gif.

The day I arrive I will check out the Maxis store in Pavilion, hope they will have new stock by that time...

I am very dissapointed in Maxis. Three weeks ago I emailed Maxis to ask them if I could preorder the prepaid Hotlink kit online in advance. They told me this was possible, but only after arriving in Malaysia. So I waited and went to a Maxis store yesterday morning.

So I preordered the iphone but received a sms today with the request to pay RM200. Unfortunately I was informed today that I couldn't get the iPhone in combination with Hotlink.

The answer they gave wasn't clear enough to me. I didn't quite understand why they couldn't pre-order it for me.

All prepaid plans are scrapped at Maxis Center Pavilion KL. At the counter they told me it's not possible to preorder the prepaid Hotlink phone anymore. They simply told me to come back after a month, or to try and buy somewhere else. I didn't quite understand the exact reason, besides the fact that they want to deliver postpaid contracts rather than prepaid.

Pre-order Hotlink wasn't possible anymore from today onwards..(because yesterday it was...)...
