i'm digi user, i have booked 1 unit 16gb on the 15th, received confirmation email almost 23hours later and still not received sms confirmation. Paid my deposit on 16th afternoon at maxis centre, which took about 1hour to complete as i'm the 1st person there to pay for the deposit. Also bought 1 prepaid sim pack as maxis required a maxis account to complete registration. hope this helpful

hmmm funny... i just went to maxis klcc center to pay my deposit. recieved both sms and email (sent more than 24hrs later). i went with prepaid option. but i did not buy any prepaid pack yet. they did not ask me to buy any. i thought the prepaid option means that i will be getting a new sim with a new prepaid number?

@zad78,
I onli put in my online booking this afternoon and I chose to pick it up from Machines, 1Utama, 10-2PM.

Maxis KLCC is however full till 2nd August if I ain't mistaken.

hi tinkerbel,

my friend actually booked a set online ealier (before the 24th) and chose to collect it at Machines 1U. both of us went to the shop to pay the deposit on the 25th (Saturday) only to be warned by the cashier that the 1st batch iphone pre-booking deposit payment period ended yesterday (24th) and my friend's booking will be considered the second batch of pre-booking. so if is perfectly up to my friend whether he wishes to pay or not, but the cashier says they cannot guarantee when will he be getting the set (and most probably not on the 31st since that is considered the first batch of orders).

so i'm a bit confused with the booking that you made today. did maxis changed anything in terms of the deadline for the payment of 1st batch orders or?

thanks.

@BroJason,
Apologies as I did miss ur post *gulps*  Anyhow, there were no changes in terms of deadline for payment and nothing was mentioned about not getting the iPhone 3GS on 31/7.  I haven't gone to make the payment cause I'm still in the office.

I did speak with 123 Maxis over the weekend and they assure me that as long as U've paid the deposit, you're guaranteed a phone.  I did ask them, what happens if the phones are out of stock and he was very positive that will not happen [he kept insisting the RM200 can't be refunded so I pressed and asked what happens if I dont' get the phone before I leave town for good? - I told him I leave for Germany on 7th August so by hook or by crook the phone needs to come in by then!]

oh ok. thanks a lot for the info! tongue.gif will tell my friend about it. he is also leaving town by mid of august. hence the reason why he will not be paying if the phone does not arrive by then. cheers.

can anyone confirm is there is 32GB White for collection today or not?

some says 32GB is available only on 5th August, while some says there is stock?

where to get the correct information?
*
i collected my 32GB white set from Maxis KLCC center this morning smile.gif reached about 8:50am. was the 3rd person to collect the sets today if i am not mistaken biggrin.gif whole ordeal took around 30 mins for waiting time (before my number was called), then another 30 mins for the processing and collection of set. so there is 32GB sets available, but only for specific Maxis centers i believe. surprisingly there was not many people queuing up this morning at Maxis KLCC center hmm.gif

for the rest of you guys who has booked your sets, i wish you luck and hopefully you guys will be able to get your sets in the fastest possible manner. cheers.

a piece of advise, please ensure you bring all the documents required to speed-up the collection process:

1) deposit receipt (MUST!!!)
2) identity card (MUST!!!)
2) booking confirmation email printout (if possible)

to those who has already taken their 3gs, do you have the yellowish screen prob? mine is from factory 87, and the yellowish is observable as compared to my itouch...
*
i checked that on my display as soon as i plugged my SIM card into the phone for activation. seems OK to me. i am not having any visible sign of the yellowish tint as per what i have seen from some of the links that was posted earlier in this thread. so i guess mine is good. i hope it stays that way sweat.gif

Okay, everyone (especially those from Penang).

I went to collect my phone late (about 10am) on Saturday and I expected a LONG queue and some sort of 1 and 1/2 hour kind of wait. But when I got to the Maxis centre in Northam (which is supposedly the main branch of all), I had only ONE customer ahead of me. Meaning I was the second in line when I got there. No issues, no hoo-haas. Maybe that day it rained hard or something *shrugs*. No doubt, I was very happy about it and somewhat lucky after reading some of the posts here *phew*.

But touchwood, as I have not tried the phone out much yet. Didn't have the time and wasn't too excited because I haven't got any protection to envelope the body yet.
*
yo bro, my advice is do not put any protection on it just yet. give it a good 7 days try to see if there is any hardware defect on the phone. just to be on the safer side.

sent my set in as of this morning. their system is down at the moment. sigh... talk about luck!

anyways, the set is with the CS guy and he will inform me first thing when he manages to log in the service request. i pressed for an answer whether can i get a replacement later, but he also cannot guarantee that as the request has not been logged it yet and is pending for confirmation from the vendor side yawn.gif

still praying hard... hopefully he will call me soon... cry.gif
