Seems like the story from Machines is consistent now, they cannot promise stock if Maxis does not allocate enough for them, therefore the staff are told to advice the customer that they might not be able to get it on the 31st as preemptive measure - just in case we all mob them when we are turned away

I just can't wait man. I have been waiting to get the iPhone since 2006!!!! Due to money concerns, i was not able to afford one. Now i am able to afford one, i'm so so excited. Feel like a kid waiting for christmas to come. Lol. Seems like this time, Maxis really made it work for the iPhone. So many people made bookings already.

I received a proper answer from Maxis regarding preordering from abroad. Seems that I can only be done from out of Malaysia, since my old Hotlink is not 'active' anymore. That TAC is N.A. .

The day I arrive I will check out the Maxis store in Pavilion, hope they will have new stock by that time...

I have confirmed my booking as well, 32GB White with prepaid option. I register under DiGi number and they still go through it. Paid the RM200 and got resit in return. They also told me that there is no promise that I can get my phone on the 31/07. Wow.. I actually wanted to cancel my booking and change to black color, glad I cofirmed my previous booking now.

hehe however i somehow feel that we shouldn't be trusting so much on what Machines say though, coz in my opinion they're probably as informed / ill-informed as us about this, and they are at best, speculating about this. i don't blame them of course, it's not their fault lol. maxis is not keeping their MEPs well informed enough.

my idea of the whole situation is maxis has already allocated a maximum number of units per outlet / per timeslot to sell, that's why certain timeslots are fully booked. so in other words, there should be enough for everyone. haha of course, i'm speculating as well, so my guess is as good as anyone else's , so don't take my word for it

there's one thing i wanna give Maxis props:
They didn't follow Singtel by distributing the phone only from ONE location on the first day. If not it'd be exactly what happened there, 3000 plus people all in one spot, waiting between 2 to 5 hours just to collect the phone. I think Maxis went the smart way by ensuring you can collect from multiple locations all around on the launch day itself.

The new iphone 3G S are very impressive. However, I am not sure if I should wait for next year's latest design and feature or not as I read that it will include better mobile graphic cards etc. TIme to beat PSP i guess

I went to all 3 Machines in Sunway, Gardens and MV - and they are BLUR abt the actual T&Cs.

Ended up making my deposit @ Maxis The Gardens.

I paid my RM200 deposit at Machines@1U using my MBB Visa Debit, which is the same as credit cards. And no Visa transaction fee was charged.

Would u be able to receive the phone by 31st July 2009 @ Machines??

According to Machines@1U, it all depends whether Maxis will supply them with enough stock or not, which for some reason, the Machines ppl are not very convinced they will.

So short answer is, we'll know in 2 weeks time

There's so many shop out there which selling Maxis iPhone 3GS, I believe there'll be some competition in order to get more customer to pre-book the phone, did you all heard about anything special promotion, not talk about price discount, but like did they offer any extra free gift (like screen protector or phone casing etc.) ?

Should be able to recieve it. Cause we pay deposite in advance already. The stock might have arrive Malaysia already. Just waiting for the time to hang to the prebook customer

guys, called the maxis centre at 1U, they told me they have plenty of stock on launch day because they will be doing a road show from 31st till 2nd. So if you havent paid the deposit i would suggest go for maxis centre rather than machines. You can later buy the accesories from machines if you feel guilty dumping them lol.

I do agree. In my opinion, Maxis has the priorities as they serve the mass bigger than Machines.

According to my friend who work at Maxis, customers who booked thier iPhone and made their payment sure will get their set during pick-up day.
