@Tink

Worrying, yup. I hope Apple fix this on 3.1, because if this means all that activities will deplete the internal battery faster than even if the actual charger is connected! Wow, that much of a power drain? hmm.gif

Check your App updates, fellas. Among the 8 I have today, one of them is Beejive 3.0.1.9. Hopefully this will once and for all fix the multitude of problems on that App.

What about Malaysia? Any updates?

You will see forum member Teikwing either updating his pre-existing Maxis iPhone thread, or creating a new thread about the Maxis iPhone 3G[S] once news are available later. Please be patient.

for 3HK price plan will be releasing on July 9th, 3pm on their website.

http://iphone.three.com.hk/website/zh/home.html

receive the news thru twitter from a friend in HK.

The link points to a webpage in Chinese. Perhaps either an English version or an easy-to-read table will help those who are looking for the news on the HK model?

EDIt: The English version is linked here. But there are no news on the 3G[S] at the time of this post.

Always set contact sync to "Merge" not overwrite one or the other when you sync your iPhone with MobileMe and your Mac. Unless you have a backup for your contact database, it is gone.

I had that once, when I set my Microsoft Exchange account to be synced with my iPhone and forgot to check off the Contact box. The result? It syncs with Exchange and gave me ZERO contact details. Turned off that account's Contact sync, and re-sync with MobileMe, and in less than a minute, got my contact database back into the iPhone again.

If there is a third device you synced with, you can sync its contact database back into MobileMe, and let that trickle back to your iPhone.

For example, I have my Mac Mini, MBA, iPhone and MobileMe synced with each other for their contact databases. If I accidentally deleted in either one of them, the other devices can be set to resync the contact database they have inside them to MobileMe, and let that trickle down "from the cloud" to the other devices.

EDIt: 3 mins till show time. I cant be here after 9pm, Got an event to do. Be back after 12am.

From my Maxis insider,

This is straight from the horse's mouth itself. Maxis SVP, the Head of Product Development and New Businesses mentioned the 3G[S] release as 31/7 during an internal brief.

Take this with a whole pitcher of salt, folks.

Yes, you can redownload it for free. You get freaked out because of the "Buy" button, but just click that and it will tell you that you have already purchased it and click "OK" to download it again. Calm down.

Huaaarrgghhhh! Just woke up. Sampai from Paris this morning, then knocked-off sleep till now.

Yes, xandman, like what bro Friends say, I rarely recommend people, and Jacquie has been more than attentive to my needs when it comes to getting my battery packs. I got the Mophie Air ANd TruePower iV from her, she's an excellent seller, and punctual too. rclxms.gif

I know I'm supposed to put up reviews on the battery packs, but....lazy lah,Tink. tongue.gif Enough to say, that the Mophie Air now is staying on permanent basis on my 3GS. Excellent battery pack, and an "oooooooh shiny shiny!" casing to boot!

@Psyeo
Black color this time, bro! Black 3GS with Black Mophie Air. "Gaya, Mutu, Keunggulan!" looks , and 10 points if you can guess which TV ad that slogan comes from! laugh.gif

@Cocklea,
Oiiiii, lama tak dengar citer, apa khabar orang Johor! Back in the country already? It has been a while, bro! How's the situation in NZ? I hear no more off-the-shelf sale in Auckland, and have to purchase online for the buy-outright option? Or are you able to bypass this nonsense with your position there at Vodafone?

Agreed. The price is bucking Maxis' own trend of slaughtering their customers. They finally learn that there is a way to make to make money without making their customers angry. tongue.gif

What is the minimum I have to pay for Maxis Hotlink plan? Can I just open up an account with them, buy the cheapest Hotlink prepaid pack and be done with? If it is still a plan even on prepaid, then I'm bailing out.

bro string, there's are no strings attached for the hotlink prepaid plans. just get a hotlink sim and you're good to go. what's better is they actually bundle 12 months of 500MB data usage!

and yeah, Maxis did learn a lot from their last launch. now everyone is happy. well, at least almost. (not for those LYP 'RM4K' 3GS sellers) biggrin.gif

click SINI for all the details. smile.gif

Thanks bro Teikwing.

So this is as easy as "buying a prepaid pack and head to their Maxis Center, state to them you're buying the RM2990 option for prepaid Hotlink 32GB 3G[S], pay RM200 for booking fee, and wait till 31/7? and pick up your iPhone there and then?"

I'm stating "head to Maxis Center" because the online booking website seems to lock out prepaids from continuing past step 3.

Enquiring this for a lady friend sitting next to me, could'nt get in touch with my bro for clarification.

Thank you, bro! She wanted to kiss you for delivering this good news, but she kissed me instead. So looks like I have to pass the kiss to you then. tongue.gif

Cheers!
