I can go into YM via IM+ Lite that I have, but Beejive totally spits me out every time. From "signon.time.out" error to "Connection failed on all fallback ports". Om IM+ Lite , I can go in, so it's Beejive's problem on their end here. I can log into my Windows Live account tied to my Xbox Live account just fine on Beejive.

C'mon man, either make it a proper release or don't release it until you are ready, Beejive!

Hmm.. I've tried rebooting but YM still fails to connect on my end. It shows me "Error: Connection failed on all fallback ports".

I'm also still unable to connect to YM through Adium; and apparently neekun is facing the same issue too!

I've just passed a formal complaint to their support forum, and at the time of the posting of this post, no response from their support team yet. Lousy! And I paid full price for this!

Sorry guys, I didnt notice you guys use YM. I used Gmail lol. I've read in the forum that its due to the server problem which means beejive still using old authentication. More on that stuffs here: http://www.beejive.com/support/forum/viewt....php?f=7&t=1681

Actually you can always use 'Free Memory' app. I bought that app and I don't need to restart my phone every now and then. The shocking fact is that when the phone is fully loaded or have operated for a few days the remaining RAM is 3-4MB! No wonder browsing on Safari is such a curse. Free Memory app allows me to clear/purge most of the RAM occupied or closing some unwanted programs giving me some where between 20MB-30MB. Safari is so much smoother then!

The decision to buy iPhone 3G[S] or not is pretty simple. If you have iPhone 3G already, hold on with it especially for people who have just bought it. Wait next year. If you have iPhone 2G, this is a nice upgrade. If you don't have any of the iPhones, then its simple ain't it? Hehehe...

Tink, how about IM+ full version? Does it support Push Notification? I've half a mind to scrap Beejive and use that instead, seeing how IM+ logs me in without all this mess of a problem.

I thought both the IM+ 3.0 full and lite version support Push Notification? Its in the App Store review...

Not on the Lite. Otherwise it would have shown in under the "Notification" settings.

IM+ doesn't yet support push! I thought it would since BeeJiveIM oredi got theirs updated but well, I guess App Store hasn't gotten to approving it yet! My suggestion; wait it out and see if the situation improves; it should

It says it supports push.

Very disappointing as this is my first iphone IM app as I dont really use it and only become interested with the push become available. Got Beejive since it got a really good review before.
Anyway, I am giving Beejive 24 hrs to fix this or else Im gonna make complain and download IM+.

Half-assed release, and nothing but a bloody tease!

I was planning to celebrate this by IMing (with push notification) within cinema 3 for Transformers 2, and Beejive came back with a party-pooper.

@al3p,
IM+ currently pushes messages through to an email address; it doesn't quite support push the way we want it YET. There's an update awaiting approval from Apple Store and if that comes through, I believe IM+ will be able to support push.

I can't quite tell the difference between IM+ and BeeJiveIM because I only just downloaded the latter this morning. IM+ however is probably not as stable as BeeJiveIM cause after I downloaded the latest upgrade, it shut on me several times! *urgh*

that'd be great!

IM+ does not support push notification, as per the new OS 3.0 per se. What it's push notification does is that you designate an email address where your IM messages will be forwarded to, so that you will be notified by email when a new message arrives, instead of the new OS 3.0 pop-up notification.

I see.. guess I'll better wait then. It really sucks like I stated before, this is my first IM app but yeah. Hopefully the 5.99 price still there when the push update coming for IM+, I'll be happy to buy it lol.

Anyway how is the Adium working for you?

IM+ constantly reduces its price. At 5.99 it's really not worth the $.

It is better than paying for Beejive (which i paid 13 bucks) lol. But thanks for the info and I really hope that they fix Beejive soon as I feel left out coz all my friends with Blackberry always have their YM on.

Tinker, its not FullMemory but FreeMemory though. It cost USD$0.99 and is available on the Apps Store. It doesn't require JB or breaking virginity hehehehe... Its a no brainer. Get it! Everyone!

By the way, I'm more inclined to ride with IM+ though. 3.1 is under way and I think I'll just pull the trigger in a day or two.
