@nokia2003,
Yeah I read about it; I think it's good they included Volume +/- on the headphones (even when I don't use the headphones much) *grins*

I have sent my Apple in-ear earphones with remote for warranty claim now....for some reason the right earphone is very soft, compare to the left....

beware of water hazards while using earphones with remote and mic....they tend to act wierdly after exposed to moisture

anyway, looks like the iPhone 3G S's camera is too detailed for my good. you can even see those tiny dust particles on the earpiece. blush.gif blush.gif blush.gif

As for the new headphones

They do work with iPhone 3G , however the remotes don't work (volume keys). I am finding a way to get it working

I'll let you know if I've managed to get it working or not with 3G. I am guessing apple might have disabled some crap as usual in order to encourage people to go for 3GS !

Screencaps in the spoiler below... I accidentally ended the workout in the middle of the 10km run so it's divided into 2 workouts... Details listed on the app are pretty basic...Distance, time, pace & calories... Would be great if it could include the running graph available on the Nike+ website, hopefully in a future update..

@davidmak,
Wouldn't the email notifications consume as much batt as the push notifications? *grins*  But ur absolutely right about battery levels reducing at super duper fast speeds!
*
I had the impression that with email notifications it works independently of the phone. Cause you're offline and IM+ or Beejive's server keep preserving your IM accounts alive on their respective servers. It acts as a middle man. Your friends see you 'artificially' online and they send you a message. IM+ or Beejive sees it, intercepts it and divert it to your preset email address.

Of course, if you rely on push email like Yahoo or other paid email service we're back to square one. Otherwise, it doesn't really affect your phone cause its not effectively online and you only get the notification when you check your email and reply it.

Just want to inform you guys that AppleCare is available in AU for iPhone for 99AUD. Good for who have AU set since it can extend warranty another year. And for those who already have the AU set, Im pretty sure you guys can still buy it as iPhone 3G is launched on 11th July so 11 days for you to buy the AppleCare.

I don't know if anyone else here noticed this but BeeJiveIM's push notifications now just pushes only the 1st message through.

Say U get 2 messages from the same person, it used to push both the messages through, not it only pushes the first one; at least that's from MY current observations.

@davidmak,
So how's IM+ ?

So far so good. Have been happy with it. I've set IM+ to keep my account online for 6 hours. So every morning, I online once with IM+ and then exit. It'll keep my MSN, FB, etc active for the entire work day. Then I keep my web-based active and wait for messages to come in. The whole process isn't instantaneous though but just ok. However, if the other person who sent you a message is offline replying this message will be bounced back.

I've tried using Push Notifications and its quite effective. It'll show the number of messages on the app icon. Starting the program will bring you to the inbox showing all your contacts who have sent you messages. Click on one of the contact will a list of messages that has been transacted when you were offline.
