@Dante18,
Yes I believe it is possible except they're locked units. And obviously it wouldn't be at the price of US199 or 299. |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 27 2009, 12:11 AM) Yes, I have updated to IM+ 3.1 also and it quits sometimes. Weird. But push notification works and the power consumption isn't really optimistic. I've turned them off and rely the email notifications. |

I knew why my BeeJive keeps on quitting. Its due to the CHAT history it is keeping. I deleted all CHAT history and now no more quitting.

Honestly I am also waiting for the Singtel announcement. I wonder why Singtel still have no announcement at all until today although rumor points out that the launch date might be 9th July. (Will that means that there will be no 3GS on 9th July in Singapore). |

@xandman,
So when U making the switch?! Italy or AU way U decide; but choose one where U haf friends aplenty so in case anything happen, warranty may be resolved @neekun, I'll test it and revert later; phone charging now *grins* @davidmak, Wouldn't the email notifications consume as much batt as the push notifications? *grins* But ur absolutely right about battery levels reducing at super duper fast speeds! @xaw5162, Touch wood on warranties ! So far so good *big grin* @shdwkillr, Nothing much to whine about; just have to wait it out. |

I'm testing browsing features of iPhone 3gs. Seems like the loading takes half the time on average. Overall interface are much faster especially when you are typing. No usual sluggishness especially when it auto scroll for a new line. Oleophobic screen works like a charm. Hope my other buyers can fill in more about iPhone 3gs.

I've been trying out Syngic Australia for the past couple of days and here's my short review of it.
The interface is great, extremely smooth and fast response. It's able to support portrait or landscape. Has got 3D and 2D view with loads of POIs. But here comes the crappy part... after I've entered my desired destination and got a 3/4 bar signal, the triangular marker won't seem to move properly. It jerks back and forth quite often. To make things worst, I noticed that the marker is probably somewhere about 2-3 seconds behind my actual position while in the moving car. (Do note that on the same time I have my good old HP 612c Navigator's Garmin Mobile XT running at the same time which doesn't have similar problems) The few possible explanations for this: 1. iPhone 3G's GPS receiver might not powerful enough. 2. iPhone 3GS might have a better GPS receiver + processor for turn-by-turn apps to work properly. 3. My iPhone 3G unit might be faulty somehow. 4. Both iPhone 3G and 3GS users might have to face that the GPS receiver in iPhones aren't good enough for proper turn-by-turn applications (without extra booster or some sort) Some screenshots for your viewing pleasure: This post has been edited by BlueHeng: Jun 27 2009, 10:58 PM |
