im just trying to help some ppl out thats all. and what is the point if you jailbreak and dont use this type of apps. Mods if you dont like it  can delete the post. sorry if i cause any disturbance in the air,.
*
The point of Jailbreaking is not to install cracked applications. Its just makes it possible for us to skin our iPhone , to use Terminal in iPhone and not to mention the ability to run some other cool applications for the iPhone. Its the only way for us to install these applications !

I meant no data charge since no data usage to be used...all data already built in the app...just GPS signal required~

If it does not come from either approved Cydia repositories or AppStore itself, then it is not legal. The maps themselves I can guarantee are copyrighted property of a mapping or map-providing entity, and bypassing their consent by downloading from other third party sites are definitely illegal. If these maps or the app itself are made as purchasable items only and you download them for free, it is illegal. No two ways about this.

from my understanding, i have been reading reviews and checking the tomtom website. I couldnt find any related information that they are having asia maps especially Malaysia. So, I am wondering should I wait and see?

On the other hand, is there any sygic users out there would like to give some info on the product?

What I most worry about are the few things listed below:-

1. Sygic use GPS or 3G data when activating the turn n turn mapping.

2. How accurate is it? is it real time processing? I used to have garmin installed in my nokia n95. (is quite turn down because of the slow response by 5-8 seconds)

3. hows the coverage in Malaysia?

4. battery life consumption?

5. does it have voice guiding turn n turn?

So far, these are my queries.....if all have been answered, i might give it a try!!

Thanks ya....

For my understanding~ AGPS is slightly better than normal GPS...the AGPS get help from cell tower to speed up the location process and consume no data. Without cell tower the iphone still able to locate the spot but will spend little more time.

no, AGPS may required the network in order get more accurate location on the maps. and its require network to route the destination as well.
