1. Please note tat iphone is only come with a-gps,so it may need to use a little bit usage on 3g.

For my understanding~ AGPS is slightly better than normal GPS...the AGPS get help from cell tower to speed up the location process and consume no data. no, AGPS may required the network in order get more accurate location on the maps. and its require network to route the destination as well.
