u need to check lo ... not necessary is engine ...
1, from all that i read, if got white/blue smoke, might be valve seals harden, might also be the pistons ... to at least confirm if it is, after a long run there will be some un-burn 'thick' oil at the exhaust tip ...
2. second, if makan oil, might be leaking or seeping ... leaking is major liao means need to do full overhaul(i think) as no one knows y is leaks ... by leaking means floor there full of lubricants need topup alot to make it run ...
3. seeping on the other hand is, lubricant slowly seep out from the engine, might be caused by camcover/valve cover gasket rubber hardden, to at least confirm is check the engine surrounding, the pipes below the engine, the spark plugs & cables, see if they r greasy/oily or not ... in this case, lubricant consumption will be just bit by bit (around 2 weeks topup around 250ml +/-)

how long u din check ur engine oil d? ...

i got phobia jor ... due to the 1st time the injection lights came up when i was driving to KL on North-South Highway ...
now checking alternate days ... monday, wed, fri, saturday/sunday morning b4 work...

hmm .. that time u change valve seals got change the camcover/valve cover gasket also? ... maybe harden jor lubricants seeping out lo ... like my car ..

manage to find back the pic from v19

1. The red circle is Nut no.7 ... previously i noticed its greasy tot just abit and wiped it off ... few days back while i was checking oil level, i notice its greasy already ...
2. Notice the red arrows, its all greased up (color difference at the piping) ... and its all below the Nut no.7 ...
I suspect its the engine lubricant seeping out ... try check around see see lo ... average around 3 weeks+ need topup abit to make it at normal level ...

mineral normally changes at 5000km ... sometimes abit over also nvm de ...
i also servicing this weekend in ipoh .. anyway, since u gonna service then try change the camcover/valve cover gasket lo .. can even DIY ...

@masao, Shell Helix still got 20w50 meh? ..that time i go buy, the counter fella say shell no more 20w50 only got 15w50 ...
i think its better to use back same grade of 15w50 le ... just in case shit happens .. haha

@max, at the top page, click one the Member , then search Kent Goh, or u can go garage section and find for his thread ... he sells alot of parts, lubricants, etc, etc... u try ask him for top gasket set 1st, then ask see got do overhaul or not .....
i asked him b4 and he quoted me that price, but his shop only sells, all work r cater to outside the workshop ...
