I have to say Rock Band 2.
The GH set is much cooler,no doubt. The only problem is that it is really dysfunctional. My yellow pad got busted after playing it with my friends.
I've owned the RB1 set for nearly a year and it works much better than my GHWT set.
The WT Guitar won't strum up and my Drums yellow cymbal doesn't work.

But the GH games are pretty good, especially Metallica(METALLICA!).
So get the RB set, then get the GH games. The RB instruments work with GH games.

SSHH!!!!
He doesn't know that yet.....

UH...YEAH!!
RED MEAT AND FOOTBALL!!(realizes that he already knows it...)
Damn it...

Though I still say RB1 set>>>>>>WT set.
But I'd say the other way if the WT set didn't fail as much.If only I can get warranty claim or soemthing for my entire set...

The WT set failing? laugh.gif

I thought it was the RB1's vulnerable drum kit that was pretty commonplace .

Or music games are just waiting to be abused either way xD

But GH drums have midi in.
Which means you can connect an Electronic Drumkit and use it later.

Yeah I guess WT wins with MIDI,but V-Drums are really expensive.
IMO unless you're gonna be playing Expert+ and aiming for like FCs and stuff, the WT MIDI setup isn't for you. It's realistic and all,but it's not very practical.

@XEDman,my RB1 drums are just fine, thank you very much wink.gif

Most likely an import which won't work for our 360s(well,at least the innocent ones whistling.gif )

Well, I'm happy playing Medium and some Hard on my V-Drums.
It's expensive, yes. But I think of it as an investment for the upcoming games.

The RB1 drums suck hard by default though. Having said that, the drum silencers i got the other day really make a difference. The sound of the drums is still there but at least there's no more clackity clack sound from them. And my GF is slowly learning to play RB drums on hard and she loves the bounce she gets after installing the drum silencers.

As a game/platform, RB1 still beats GH:WT though, the fact that I'll be able to export everything minus 3 songs to RB2 is icing. <3 the fact that DLC means the game never gets old.

Anyway, to answer and at the same time not answer the TS, get The Beatles: Rock Band, instead of GHWT or RB2 set. OR maybe not since i'll probably be selling my RB1 peripherals when that comes out tongue.gif

(and probably the other 2 plastic guitars just for collecting sad.gif )

Hey guys, question, are Guitars hardware region locked as well ? Like if one are bidding for the bundle set/guitar from Europe in Ebay, would it work here with the Asia Region xbox.

My guess is it might work. Hope someone would clear the doubt.

Hardware is not region locked.
And all Guitar Hero games aren't region locked either.

It's just the Rock Band software that's region locked, because EA doesn't like Malaysia.

WRONG!
WE ARE NTSC!
THE GUITAR HERO GAMES ARE PAL!!
*badum tish,followed by rotten tomato*

Oh is there anywhere that sells the RB2 drum set alone?
Or like a place to buy the ION set in Malaysia?
Or a really cheap V-Drum set?
