i'm experiencing continuously pinging sound between 1.5k to 2k rpm when i rev the car after slow down or roll over a bump.
I went to proton to check via pdt and laptop, discover no error. They can't find what cause the sound. Anyone of you here experience such situation. Some say it's because the engine oil too thin, semi syn 10/40. Suggest using thicker oil. Some say because of ron95 petrol cause the cam retard produce pinging sound due to lower octane in the A/F area. some say conrod bearing loose. my car now is about 180,000KM mileage |

QUOTE(DailyPerfume @ Jan 31 2010, 05:59 PM) Is Gen2 a safer buy compared to waja? how about persona ??My father is getting me a secondhand car around 25-30k, so Gen2/Waja is in my mind right now. I'm still deciding whether I should go for Gen2 or Waja. I've seen people saying that Gen2's engine isnt that good. So going for waja is safer. But look wise, Gen2 totally pawned Waja. Really need some experts help before stepping on with the purchase. So guys how is Gen2 so far? Maintenance and FC cheaper compared to Waja? And also what's the common problem that Gen2 Faces? Should I get myself Manual or Auto transmission for Gen2? Thanks |

do not buy trestor advantage brake pad for gen2. This brake pad sucks to the max. Very noisy brake pad after 18000km mileage.
