Tried reset ur ECU by unplugging the negative/ground battery terminal?

however the 1st prob u said is not a problem at all.. all gen2/persona/neo same like that one..

thats because u/somebody has just or recently reset the FC indicator.. dont worry after about 6 months without reset, the fc meter will be malas to move edi.. bcos it actually calculate the average of how much fuel burnt vs speedmeter (the 0-230kmh one).. when idle = car dont move at all.. so of cos FC indicator went up like hell bcos to reach 100km in distance will take forever while the fuel keeps burning.. dont worry, in reality ur car still use less fuel when idling compared to accelerating..

the FC meter is more useful if u're on long journey..

try reset it when u're on the highway.. the reading will then become so low.. believe it or not.. hehehe

laine - my maxxis usage for your reference..always drag..at least 6 times enter drag competition..once in a fortnight least 3 laps of 400 meters drag marking with fren...in a week i think more than 5 times i spin tyre in front of traffic light...oh just forgot another factor my gearbox that time is mivec with semi lock lsd...tyre lifespan bought in May 2009...thread left 30% and change to new rubber in March 2010...

but remember this is a soft compound tyre...with threadwear of 280 this tyre is identical in spec with toyo t1-r...in terms of grip of course toyo win by small margin but i dunno why i've got a toyo t1-r myself and in 6 months the tyre started to botak tepi n it grips like sh|t...i thought it is just me but 2 of my frens oso had the same condition...the centre thread still thick but tepi dah botak...

so with that put into consideration i would still opt for maxxis...because price differs almost by RM100 each...

in the end of the day no matter what tyre u use it is how u handle the car that really matters...the tyre just add in a little support and still the driver is the one controlling the car...my advise is mostly based on pure experience...

no lah not my fren shop...just out of luck when i was so desperate looking for tyre i went to this shop with big FALKEN banner...i guess FALKEN dealer la...that time i really decided on ZIEX912...but just when they take out the tyre check stock i ask eh bos u ask if got maxxis n to my surprise they do...the price oso almost same like klang so ok la...

workmanship so far my car do alignment n oso my dad's waja...good job la for me...just go there...if u mention my name they wont know la haha...

like battery giving problem.. i know mine is always battery giving problem....

hurmm....seems that u probably have some wiring/electrical problem there...when did u start to encountered the problem...???

eng98 - once u change header ur kaki will gatal to floor the paddle more...thus u sacrifice on the fuel...furthermore the pressure set for a standard regulator is 3.5 bar...the pressure is set so that the fuel is in rich condition to avoid a mishap later on if u rev it too high and the engine didnt get enough fuel for combustion it could break to pieces...for normal driving u could notice the plug will be wet a bit...there is a pros n cons in this...the pros of course to preserve ur engine if suddenly u decide to high rev there will be sufficient amount of fuel for it...the cons would be u will waste more unburnt fuel which can be seen at the tip of the plug...malay term is plug basah...n remember too many fuel for combustion is not good either for performance as it tends to make ur car 'sebu' or 'berat' or whatever the term u might want to call it...

with adjustable regulator, u could set the pressure to higher to make it less rich but not too lean...when the amount of fuel enter the combustion chamber is just nice, there will be less fuel going to waste, engine becomes more powerful and it could reduce the campro lagg a lot...the torque dip would still be there but it will be lessen n some time u could feel like it is not there...ur engine combustion will be at optimum level and ur plug tip will look like hmmm how to explain it..'merah bata' in colour...

so to answer ur question...yes u could have a better fc with FPR but do change ur header first for optimum performance n more noticeable differences..

Laine - ur cat battery is it a Maintenance Free or wet cell? try to check the terminal at +ve or -ve...make sure it is tighten...somehow u might need to change new battery

ur car auto or manual? if manual try rolling start...
