2004 model.
your car cannot start ? did the meter show nothing ?
my car had the same thing last time, it was the clockspring faulty, day before that the steering buttons all malfunction.

ouuch .
hmm, usuallly it will affect more or less to the system of the car. u wont get back the 100% feel of the car. look at the condition, i think ur oil sump just got broken, can see oil leaking.
chassis wise i think not much problem lah, u didnt bang anything hard. chassis bengkok - high speed not stable. suspension might not be perfect.

easier way is to go to eon , get pdt scanner to scan the code.
air bag and abs not mechanical system. but i think that it should be error code.

i think u need to show the car overall during repair.
structurally i dont think it is affected, mostly ur camber and suspension setup all gone already. time for u to upgrade the systems.

QUOTE(infinity1613 @ May 28 2010, 11:29 AM)
Hi, i am driving a Gen2 1.3 A(2005 registered 2006) model. the power is jz below adequate (but if driving alone is ok..full load is a no no)...anyway, i would like to ask 2 things.

1. What grade of engine oil should i use? different ppl  tell me different things.
a) Gen2 piston is very heavy, thus should use thinner oil
b) If use thinner oil, the engine gives noise, thus need to use thicker oil which functions as dampers at the same time.
So, which 1 is correct? currently, i use semi-synthetic oil 10W 40 (if i am not mistaken la...)

2. Tyre size.
the stock size for Gen 2 1.3 is 185/55 R15. Tyre shop recommend me to change to 195/50 R15. Read in some forum, saying 195/55 R15 also can.
So, which 1 is more suitable? what are the effects on Fuel consumption, handling, etc??

Thanks!!!
*
because it is a 1.3L enigne.
195 will increase the friction of the tire, making ur car heavier and acceleration also susah .
not sure engline oil, but u can try K&N drop in filter.

then the tire itself make sure u make it around the right pressure. i alwyas put mine at 230Kpa for better acceleration.

thanks BridgestoneRE711 for yr reply..
sorry, i am noob here, wat is drop in filter??
tat's y i was thinking i should stick with the stock 185/55 R15 tyres..but it think the tyre shop recommend me other size coz it is difficult to find the size...coz mostly i see 185 tyres are for 14inches rims..
*
drop in filter is the highflow filter, ur original filter , engine air intake filter.
the drop in means it is drop-in only, no need modify. something like plug-and-play in automotive term. u just replace the ori one with the high flow one, better airflow will gain slightly mroe power.

not advisable to do like so.

the on-board computer detects N as rest or idle, the car cooling system might be in rest mode, means the pump might not be running at the specified rate as in drive. this will promote wear and tear.

auto is not like manual, where the clutch si playing the gam.e in auto it is driven by torque converter, which is actually another thing if u compare it with clutch.
