I can fell the oommph,the rpm meter raising and the speed increase not much or maintain at same.

When I did audio upgrade, I noticed the radio console area is very difficult to work on. The installer was prying and pulling.definitely not as simple as just unscrew and drop out or pull out. There are quite a few areas where its secured by just plastic tabs. Strongly advise you go to the acc. shop. The gear console seem a little easier. Just pull out the plastic cover at the base and figure out from there.

ok....if the middle console is a bit tricky then i should go to acc shop...just wondering if i can take it off by myself.

basically got screws under gear lining; in the dashboard, between the seats. other than that, you could figure it out yourself.

Is our Gen2 is actually low... I mean ground clearance .... More than a dozen times already sangkut at speed bump ... but those speed bump also higher than usual ...

Still... I think standard car should've no problem with speed bump ... If change to stiffer spring (or adjustable) will void warranty (for the parts involved) ... but cant tahan la ... Car is standard but need to take speed bump sideways like lowered car ...

yeah gen2 is low. make sure u use tyre 55 and above

1. time to change engine oil. currently using castrol magnatex, but want to try bardhal semi-sny . anyone tried it before?

2. planning to install front and rear lower strut. trying to find zenden brand. tried calling and sms the Kent guy but no reply. anywhere else i can buy (selayang /gombak/kepong area)?

3. i have to topup water in coolent box once a week. is this normal or need to go check?

it is the standard 195/55/15 (persona is 195/60/15) ... should i go and fit 60 series tire to try out ?

as u know that persona is an improved version of gen2, yes, maybe for the next tyre change u should look for 195/60/15

195/60/15 will give a comfortable ride. but this will be depend on the tires choice too; either with soft or hard sidewall.
195/55/15 will be more towards a composed handling.

btw, anyone selling gen2 brake system(disc and caliper)? prefer all 4 side. need it for a small project.

my problem is that ground clearance is low ... not always lah ... sometime when ride with full 4 ppl onboard. even when only 3 ppl also i manage to sangkut at those speed bump (the one that is super high one ... but normally standard car no problem passing it)

not even reach 10k km yet .... haha. next tire change is not too soon .. guess gonna live with sideways passing speed bump for a while ... haha.

maelzx - if the speed bump is high then just have to bear with it la bro...pakai tayar tebal x semestinya solve problem ko makin semak nnt adala...why? standard profile is 55...change to thicker 60 series silap2 kang power loss, naik 3-4 orang sangkut fender, daun pisang koyak etc etc...

since u did mention 'super high one' with load of 3-4 persons right?

ya .... damn speed bump! damn the builder for not following standard .... so the better solutions is to change to harder spring ? or adjustable .... which i have no budget and not really an option as of right now ... haha .. tapi berangan nak tukar rim ...

If got stop, then it means it is working ok. cause it will cooldown the engine even if we stop and pull out the car key.
If it doesnt stop, then (my case being) it is the battery. Weak battery, didnt send the signal to stop the fan.

Added on November 8, 2010, 9:18 amMine doesnt seem to have problem with undercarriage hitting speed bump. Standard bump = ok. Sometime I feel that the car is higher.
But those non-standard speed bump = no choice lo. have to slow down.

What I got was a cracked oil sump by going pass those non-standard speed bump. Expensive repairs. Reseal (temporarily solutions) $100++ . New oil sump (persona version) $400++

My mileage now is 100,000 over n i already change the TIMING BELT at PSC...cost me around RM4++...

depends on brand.. normal price less than rm75+.. if got bando brand, use it.. if not, its ok with what brand ekceli..

just change what oredi tear.. timingbelt can tahan up to 100k mileage.. but playsafe, change it earlier around 20k..

i got an offer for brand GATES for RM48 (aircond belt)..is it ok bro??
