it's not about MONEY..they can just simply refund the money but as a buyer we are damn frustrated..so how can DELL pay for that?

Dell Combo Vostro A860 Laptop + N97

i am not sure if this is another marketing error from DELL USA. Found this from fatwallet. After coupon discount it's $710 (~RM2500) for A860 Celeron laptop and an unlocked N97. Still thinking if I want to buy or not.. biggrin.gif

This is about honouring a deal and standing for your rights. People like you are the type that let the gov to walk all over you and you still vote for the blardy BN. Wimps.

andrekua u damn flamebait~

anyway, dell sales department tends to screw up alot...

it's the same old formula/story on sales orientated companies where sales department can get away with most things, since they're the ones generating visible/direct income~

i bump into similar situation before... haihz... i avoid buyin dell stuff nowadays thats on the hot market item category if possible

Dear

Good Day! We do not practice this policy, unless if the other model has the same price coincidently as the previous order.

This is also to confirm that we have not charged your card.

So if you would like to keep your options open on a model at a promotional price, we strongly advise you to visit our website for the latest promotions and offers.

Thank you.

Dell Forced to Honor Accidental $15 Monitor Listing
By Dan Nosowitz, 12:00 AM on Thu Jul 2 2009, 12,550 views

Dell Taiwan accidentally priced one 19-inch monitor, normally costing around $150, at only $15, and received a whopping 140,000 orders within the 8 hours it was live. Now, the Taiwanese government is forcing them to honor the sales.

This kind of thing isn't too uncommon, and normally a company like Dell would either honor the price (if relatively few orders were placed) or offer some kind of discount, so as not to, you know, go out of business. But the Taiwanese government is now saying Dell must honor all 140,000 orders or face prosecution for violation of fair trade laws (and no, we have no idea what fair trade has to do with this situation).

Dell has apologized and says it will compensate buyers for the mistake, but they probably mean some sort of discount instead of a loss of millions of dollars.

All my e-mails and calls to them have been "un-layaned" by Dell staff in true Malaysian style.
Not even a public apology Dell. a real fakap you are.
