It's not advisable to buy pets from pet shops as most of their sources are come from BYB aka Back Yard Breeder. No breed certificate some more they jack up the price to make profit. If possible go get a pet from ethical breeder and SPCA if you don't have much money to spend. Just my 2 sen

yea cos I have no choice. Classes haven't started yet so most friends aren't here to help me. And those few who's staying here don't like/want to  take care of cats (eventhough she's so cute)

It's impossible to leave her in the house alone for 2 weeks so I gotta send her to a boarding place.

Hi cat lovers, just want to ask for some advise, is it normal for a cat to act in fury when mixed with other cat?

I just bought a persian yesterday, she was so cute and really nice, even in the car she stays calm like she's travel before. Then, arrived in my house, she kinda of temper seeing my other siamese-persian. My siamese-persian is really nice though as she did not get's angry or anything just want to make friends. Is this normal?

** I know about purebreed and certs etc, just that I'm more comfortable addressing my cat as one even though they were just DLH so please no DLH/cert/purebreed related comment.

It normal actually. Some cats took time to adjust after seeing another cat and sometimes they can gel very fast with another cat. Owh, and some although they do get well with another cats you can see some "unfinished business" between them now and then..See it after awhile

I have my pioneer cat with me and whenever I'm back to my house, she will be the only one sleeping in my room with the door closed and she will be very territorial if any other cats walk in and start feeling comfy in there. If she's outside, she is friendly with all of them. So I guess she just want something lil extra for being the pioneer cat with me.

It doesn't matter whether its purebreed or not..it more like individual though some purebreed have those traits easily identifiable. More like human.

Although the cat can look healthy but it's advisable for you to get the vaccination done. Since you love your cat so much (since he/she is now in Egypt, well I'm going there for few weeks end of this month, maybe can meet the lucky bugger..haha) so better to have it done. After that it will be only the normal booster. There's a cert for the vaccination though but I can't recall any. Maybe when I'm back from tunis I'll look it up for you

Seeing everyone here sharing photos of their kitties, here are mine

This is Cheekeez. She is 4 months old now. I took her from a pet shop in Sungai Petani. Unfortunately she got mites all over her and I realize that after I took her home. Immediately sent her to a vet and she got vaccination, dewormed and 1 extra shot for the mites problem. The mite shot was painful as she screamed with all she got back then, almost shed my tears. Earlier this morning I took her to a vet in Penang for her bald spot problem up above her brows. The vet said it was caused by mites and she got another 2 shots. This time the shots seems different from the previous as she did not seems to feel anything at all. I just glad she is back in her good mood. Always the nicest kitties even among my friend's.



This is Oren. She is just 2 months old on the last 6th of February (shares the same birthday as mine ). I got her from someone from Kota Damansara a few days ago. According to her last owner, her father was a Persian (with cert) and her mother is also a Persian/DLH (no cert). I don't really care about the cert etc, as far as I am concern, she is damn cute! ()\. Very spoiled, always playful and will start to scream if there is no one nearby lol..


These 2 seems to get along quite well apart from Oren who is always screaming at Cheekez when she sees her..lol..But they do get along when it is time to eat or sleep.

hi guys..i juz lost my comot 2day..at age 1 year 1 month..at around 1.30pm..she suddenly bleed out yesterday evening..i rush 2 vet..leave her there..da nxt day which 2day..she passed away.. ...da doc said..she die bcoz of her internal bleeding..i and my family wll miss her so much.. 

i bring my cat back to my hometown for CNY, but she is not eating, any solution?

So sorry can't help you on this yet. I went back only for 5 days and it was so hectic cos I had to come back to Tunis and now I'm in Cairo. Hope your cat stayed indoor alot. It's abit too foggy here. If it's persian with extreme feature they might have problem with the air here..hehe

Working for a project here for 1-2 months in 6th Oct City but staying in Conrad. Abit far but not to bad I guess but the traffic is a mess. One of those pets friendly hotel but weird thing I didn't see anyone bringing their pets in here. Or maybe it's just not the norm here. My personal view not only pets can have difficulty of breathing but human as well if you don't accustom to it fast.

I think it's reasonable for 2 cats and place them in big unit.  Not the usual tiny cat cage in petshop that charge RM15/day.  Both my cats are adult maine coon.
