hello and salam to you guys here.. smile.gif
i got a,em,big?ahh, not really kot but kinda a problem la.
so i hope u guys can help me out eh,since u guys kinda pro kan..

ok,my cat is a DLH (but the vet said there's no such thing? shakehead.gif )
ah,dont mind him!
and she had fleas a few months ago and now it's okay although i still have one pipe left (in case the fleas dtg balik-i know the vet says it have to be finished all 3 pipes doh.gif )

since that moment,i has changed her food to the better one-Science Plan aje (alternately chicken and tuna).
but now why is it her bulu gugur macam gila ah?(it's has been 1-2 months also)
actually tak teruk kot but still it's quite bothering me (since she's sleeping with me) and mostly dia lah!(mana tahu hair ball ke?!)
as for now maybe takde sign or i dont even know what the sign are? hmm.gif )

so the ques is:Can anyone suggest me what brand shud i change to maybe?for a better coat?
i've searched, even asked the pet shop owner, but i end up basic SP! rclxub.gif
there's dozens of cat foods,u know...
i know,by bring her to the vet,and give her some vitamins for coat it'll help, but now it's about food.

icon_question.gif please,please,please...help my darling!! icon_question.gif
and thank you so much! biggrin.gif
*
First of all, please don't expect the vet to know about cats life eheheh.. what they learn in school is about sickness, disease and maybe surgery. they dont learn about breeds and etc eheheh... and there is one vet telling me, most of them very familiar with dogs rather than cats.

Secondly.. please don't blame the food in first place.

What you need to check is other reason why fur shedding...

Other reasons include:
- parasites such as fleas, ticks, lice, determites, mites, ringworm, fungal, etc... since you mention about your cat with fleas few months ago, make sure it is complete gone. try the spray type if your cat has a lot of fleas. if your cat is indoor cat, you are lucky.. but if your cat running outside the house - you will have non-stop problem.

- is your cat spayed/neutered? is your cat on heat (horny for sex) ?? if yes, that is one of the reason why your cat is shedding fur. get them neuter to have a beautiful coat. stress, moody, horny will make the fur shed and when it is time for sex, cat will less grooming themself - they look terrible when they are super horny tongue.gif

- weather.. yes its hot lately... cats do shed fur during this time. some even change alil bit color.. i mean from dark to bright...

- the nature... yes by nature all cat shed fur. depending on how much much they are shedding... like human, our hair drops, dead hair falls, new hair come out... a friend of mine last time involve with hair drop like a lot and he thought he is suffering from leukemia LOL.

- grooming? how many time do u groom your cat? lets make it into 2 category.. .dry groom and wet groom...
dry groom = how many times do u brush your cat fur a day? you must brush their fur everyday. that is what u need to do when you have long hair cat. help them to brush the fur, it will help u reduce drop furs around the house. if your cat recently has fleas.. go get fleas comb, you must comb the fur to drop all fleas eggs and dead fleas.
wet groom = if your cat recently has fleas, why not bath atleast 1 time a week with fleas shampoo? brush your cat fur before you bathm them...

- vet check up = i think u already did this right.. make sure everything is done such as skin check up. cat with sensitive skin will end up having bad skin which can't hold the fur.

------------

hairball is the ball come out during vomiting.. have u ever see this in your house??? if no, that means your cat is super lazy... if he/she groom him/her self, with the amount of shedding, your cat should vomiting hairball.

and again i would love to know the age... and see if he/she is currently in the mood of sex or laziness.

remember, help him/her to groom .. help brush the fur.

-----------

do all of the above first, before you spending too much money changing food, and also making your cat stomach in pain. im feeding iams at the moment, have no problem with "too much fur shed", since they are all neutered. i feed SP before too, and never encounter too much fur shed as well...

don't easily get flattering with the sweetness offer by your petshop too. they are trying to make you buy eheheheh..

long time ago im one of the victim... if u ask me how many times of cat food i have tried? almost all... why? because of the same problem like yours, and sweetness offer by petshop i end up buying too many cat food LOL.

if you keep changing it, you end up do know which one is the best for your cat. by giving best food but your cat is not eating it equal too 0. go get food he likes the most, and wait for atleast 4 months before you see changes.. if you change every month, all food will be useless.

good luck icon_rolleyes.gif

woww..elfreakz!i really don't know how to thank you for the help!
it really helps me a lots!
ok,gonna answer abt all the tasks u asked me to do before changing the food.
before that,im kinda surprise that vet know more on sickness, diseases,or anything related to medical than breed!LOLL!!!

1) parasites:i am 110% sure she is completely gone from fleas, ticks, lies etc etc.when i brought her to vet for fleas prob the vet didn't even bother cause he says it not a major prob,as in not many fleas, but i insist to get the meds, and he gave me FRONTLINE COMBO SPOT-ON,then it all gone.
She's not really an indoor cat,i just lepas her,but ever since i just lock her in my room to keep me company what i noticed she's so rarely go outside, the farthest is on the balcony which is 10 steps away from my room.she'll ALWAYS sleep there on the cold floor but in the sunlight. doh.gif  shakehead.gif
and i also notice that the fur shed more when she is lepaking at the window or balcony (hot and sunny plc-i am blaming the weather!huhu)..

2) Is your cat spayed/neutered?:To answer to this ques,I need to inform that she wasn't mine in the first place. She was my neighbour's (4 houses away).About 2 years ago she often came here to play with us,we kept on feeding her and at one time she didn't go to her owner at all!!
And seems like the former owner didn't bother at all and maybe they have a new one (i saw once their new persian or DLH outside their home wandering around the neighbourhood-damn!).If they really love her they'll do anything to find her right. So i dont find it's wrong for my family to keep her, since we also would do anything to her,and keep her save!
So,i dunno if she had been spayed. But i think she had. Because she didn't wandering around the house to menggatal and if the male come near her she'll ran away! She's scared to death to the male. And at one time that horny male trying to sneaked into my room maybe to check on her! Can this sign makes sense that she had been spayed??SHE JUST NOT INTO IT!and i found that she's really a good groomer.

3) weather:im totally agree with you on this.but what can i do,place her in the fridge?LOL! Even we human feel so restless with the weather right, apa tah lagi dia yg dipenuhi bulu-buluan?LOL!

pergh!Leukemia?that must've been a nightmare for him uhh!

4) grooming? :dry groom-i help her brush her fur about 10x a week like that?isn't that enough?Cause i was terrified looking at the comb there's thick fur of her stucked there! what if she get bold one day?and im gonna have like that fur-less breed of cat?!LOL!
wet groom-since the fleas are gone,i still bath her 2 weeks -one month once, depends on the smell and the dirt on her.even if she no longer have fleas i still use the medicated soap sometimes.

5) vet check up:yeah,i've done this.once i asked the vet,if there's an injection to stop the fur shed (i know it sounds silly rolleyes.gif ).i ask that cause my ignorance friend told me that the vet she met gave the injection to her cat!DUH!
i guess she must have been misunderstood what the vet has said!
and my vet said there's no such 'stopping the fur shed injection!!) blink.gif

hairball is the ball come out during vomiting.. have u ever see this in your house??? if no, that means your cat is super lazy... if he/she groom him/her self, with the amount of shedding, your cat should vomiting hairball.

and again i would love to know the age... and see if he/she is currently in the mood of sex or laziness
.

i don't have idea on how does the hairball looks like.and i've never seen it around my house,or maybe she had vomited outside of the house.BUT, recently she had puked ON my bed sheet, for God sake!
and apart from i think the digested Science Plan there something like ketul2 panjang looks like poo poo  shocking.gif (how the hell she eats her own poo poo!!) and i now notice that it's the same colour as her fur!!
How i wish i take a pic of that thing,so i can show it to u! L.O.L!

and again as i mention before,i dunno her age,not even guessing and neither the vet can guess also her age.but from her canin,im afraid the vet said she's not so young..
im positive it have nothing to do with sex,but laziness?as in?playing or grooming?she's great and so rajin at both i can say!

wait, why do u say my cat is a super lazy if there's no hairball coming out during the vomiting?
So if the hair ball comes out,the cat is a super good boy/girl ehh? tongue.gif

if you keep changing it, you end up do know which one is the best for your cat.  by giving best food but your cat is not eating it equal too 0. go get food he likes the most, and wait for atleast 4 months before you see changes.. if you change every month, all food will be useless.

This is actually what i am planning on doing.I know her stomach might be upset if i keep changing her food every month at least. That's why it's almost 6 months i've been feeding her with SP,that why im asking for a suggestion for any other brand (jgn la yg pelik2 sgt),so that i know which one the best for her kan?So far she loves Science Plan tuna flavour than Chicken!haha.

Eh,one more thing, since that she had puked and if that weird thing is hairball, does she needs IAMS HAIRBALL CARE or DIGESTIVE CARE? or that's normal?
Or any other hairball care from Royal Canine product??

THANK YOU so much for that help, and maybe it would be easier if we talk in private (PM)?
Ahh,but in that way others can't give their opinion..

P/S:Maybe all this excessive fur shed is actually normal for them,it's just me the owner is over-worried about it?  hmm.gif

Don't get confuse between veterinarian and zoology.... zoology is the course that study about animal behavior, breed, etc.

- 110% sure no fleas. then that is ok.. have u check for earmites? dusk mites? lice? you cannot see all this with your eyes. fleas are bigger so you can see them clearly. Clean the ears.. if you see black brown spot in the ears (look like wax) that is knows as ear mites.

- she seem to be boring eh? like lock in the room and sleep infront the balcony..

- im not sure how long is the fur... have u try grooming your cat at the petshop? last time i have cat that has very thick fur, and end up shed alot too... bring her up to the petshop grooming, and the shop trim her undercoat. after that she look find, does not look thick...

- im pretty sure your cat is 2 - 3 years above? since u mention your come to your house 2 years ago. so estimated she is fully adult. horny cat will normally scream out loud. making this loud annoying sound calling for male / female cats. the only way to check if that cat has been spay is to ask your vet.. maybe they need to shave the fur on her stomach. else u go to your neighbor house and pretend to ask bout their cat. if they dont know anything about spaying, basically their cat that has been staying with you is not yet spay/neuter. some cat do not show any horny sign during mating season.. some cat do. the more they interact with horny male, the faster the female turn on. horny cat normally will have sensitive back part (near the tail), if you rub that early, they will show up their butt.. this is one sign their still have feeling of sex LOL..

- lol if you put your cat in the fridge you end up not having a pet anymore tongue.gif... its enough to have alil bit of natural air from outside, and also maybe a fan.

- 10x a week dry grooming should be ok... how bout try to get deshedding tool for your cat. it is not the normal comb/brush.. on the pack it mention de-shedding, it wont make your cat botak, it will just trim and remove dead fur...so your cat fur wont be too thick.. here is one famous tool, maybe you can try find something similar to this:
http://www.furminator.com/ = its very hard to find this one here in KL..
as for me im using Bamboo Care - cat de-shedding comb, i bought it for RM36.90 at Petsmore petshop, below is the photo of it.:
user posted image

- ok the one you see that look like stool in your cat vomit is = hair ball... this means your cat is cleaning herself. now u need to see how frequent she vomit, if everyday then you are in red alert mode. everyday hairball is not a good thing to see...
when cat cleaning themself, they lick the fur.. fur go inside them.. hairball will be produce. if they dont have hair ball.. basically they dont really groom themself. horny cat is lazy, when the mating season come, they eat less, they groom less, all they know they want sex more. typical animal behavior.

- my cats love SP tuna and chicken too.. and they have no problem with iams chicken. last month i tried the iams tuna they love it too...

- having fur shedding is normal if you have cats in the house. all cats shed fur. just need to see how bad it is. if your cat shedding like the amount of 10 cats. than there is some wrong.

- many people feed fish oil to their cat, as fish oil is rich with nutrition for the fur. i never tried any oil... since i dont have much problem with extreme de-shedding problem...

- if you have tried SP for 6 months, i bet now u can try a new one.. try super premium like orijen or innova evo.. its expensive ehehe very expensive.. 4kg is like RM70.. but worth it.. if i have money i will go for this.. i did try feeding orijen to 1 cat for 4 months, that cat look 100% different from other cat that did not eat orijen. especially fluffy shiny fur.

- SP and Iams is the reasonable price and easy to get. others will be much expensive than SP and iams, such as Royal Canin and etc. if you do not want to pay that much, u can try blackwood which was recomment by CutiePie before. You can PM her directly.

QUOTE(sabaiwin2k3 @ Aug 3 2009, 02:32 PM)
hi all,

I am looking for a pet cat. indoor one coz I am staying in a condo. I am first timer and new on cats so will need sifu here for some advice

1) what kind of cat suitable for indoor and preferable dont simply pee and poo

2) what age should I buy? since i do not want them to mengatal all the time so I prefer them to sunat.

3) can I buy cats? but i went to pets wonderland, their cats is 3k wtf.. sad.gif

pls help
*
hello sabaiwin2k3 smile.gif yes you can have cats in your condo.. as long as you keep your house clean so they will be no complaints. and also, spay/neuter your cat early so they won't come to "on heat" situation, on heat / mating season will make your cat scream calling for sex partner, which will so wake up your neighbor. So neuter/spay your cat early to avoid mating seaspn.

1) what kind of cat suitable for indoor and preferable dont simply pee and poo - find kitten/cat that has already train to use the litter box. so you need to buy litter box and litter for them to poo and pee smile.gif

2) what age should I buy? since i do not want them to mengatal all the time so I prefer them to sunat. - get a kitten if you want them to attach with you easily. buying kitten from another owner is proven train to use litter box. normally buy kitten age 4 months above. or u can get younger one like 2 months above since at this age they already know how to eat by themself. you can spay/neuter that kitten after age 4 months - 6 months to avoid menggatal smile.gif

3) can I buy cats? but i went to pets wonderland, their cats is 3k wtf.. sad.gif - You can buy this kitten at 3k price as long as it come with breed certificate. Don't waste money buying Domestic long hair or Domestic short hair cat with that price. its too expensive and not worth it. DLH means a cat come from mix breed. they are not pedigree, so dont waste money. you can simply get a pedigree cat with RM3000 from breeder. many seller advertise their cat as Persian, but when you ask for pedigree cert they don't even know what that is. So that cat for sell is not pedigree although they look like persian. Only certificate can confirm they are pedigree. without it, they will automatically become DLH. DLH should cost you around rm800 below.

What El said its true. But you better be careful also when buying cats on the net.  Some people will try to con you and say that its persian or mainecoon breed but actually its not.  There is a lot of people trying to scam people nowadays.  I would suggest you bring someone who at least have some experience in cats when you go shopping.
*
agree rclxms.gif

the best way to adopt cat smile.gif

some people may want extra looking cat, what im trying to say, not typical short hair cat. there's nothing wrong if you dont like short hair.. some people may want a long hair type of cat. its alright, get it from someone you know... like friends.. rather than buying it online. like what CutiePie mention, "scam".

Beside if you buy from friends or people you know, it would be a good advantage to see and get to know the kitten first. like human, not everybody born 100% healthy.

Lastly, you can kaw-tim with your friend eheheh.. can get good price, rather than buying from scammer saying their cat is the best cat in malaysia with the last price RM3k tongue.gif

I will pity busy can that cat.. kesian kena tipu, and kesian for that cat become money making machine.

thanks a lot for the advice. Do you know any owner or cattery which is trustworthy ? or does it worth to buy from cattery? i saw someone even willing to let it for adopt for free but i think i need something special one smile.gif

I have found some in petfinder :

*
1) http://www.petfinder.my/pets/6331/

user posted image

Ok this one is not persian, although it mention persian. like i mention just now, no cert no pedigree. this kitten is Domestic Long Hair... he/she come from mix breed. As for RM700 NEGOTIABLE is ok.. nego till the last price u can ehehhe

---------------

2) http://www.petfinder.my/pets/6330/

user posted image

Ok this is not scottish fold.. obviously from the ears... SF should not have that kind of ears. and again, the seller mention MIX SF. again as for the price, nego till the last price you can smile.gif RM750 is too expensive for mix breed. Don't waste too much, remember you need to buy some other stuff for your kitten new home.

--------------

3) http://www.petfinder.my/pets/6392/

user posted image

this is a good example of DLH price.. kinda cheap and affordable..

------------

4) http://www.petfinder.my/pets/6391/

user posted image

same as above, same seller, i think the kitten is from the same family. its in penang, if u r in kl, u need to consider transportation cost as well.

----------

5) http://www.petfinder.my/pets/6390/

user posted image

selling 1 month old kitten is not a good idea.. too small...although the price looks OK

-------

6) http://www.petfinder.my/pets/5727/

user posted image

this is not persian... its a domestic cat... seller mention medium fur.. meaning it could be semi long fur type of cat.

---------

and again, it would be better to buy from someone you know. small kitten won't look the same when they grew up. they may look like having this long fur, but when they grew up, then you can see the exact length of the fur.

he/she has any fungal or ringworm history before? if yes, then it can start back from it. botak2 or bolt patches looks like ringworm..

else if other parasites, try frontline spray or spot on. clean your house, vacuum all carpets.

ya he had history of ring worm few mths back.but fully recover from it.

can teach me how to spray front line on him ??
i hav trouble spraying on him he extremly scare of water.
evrytime i bath him he will scare until pee.
even when i spray frontline on him he will try to run and jump and  bcome terrified..that y is very hard to apply..and i get very frustrated when it happen..
*
if got ringworm history, im pretty sure u need to continue giving the pills from vet. they have this pill for ringworm.

then bath with fungal shampoo...like malaseb shampoo..

if ringworm, frontline wont help... frontline only for parasites like fleas, lice and ticks... also mites.

hi. this is kinda emergency. I had a 8 months old (estimate) male cat at home. just now, we found a female stray kitten, not more than a few weeks next door (unoccupied house). we pity the kitten but don't know how to handle this because my male cat keep sniffing her tush, and keep biting the kitten at her neck. So how can we help the kitten?

your male cat looks horny eh?? i mean he is not kembiri yet right? he is on heat for sex eh? better separate them before your male cat hurt the female kitten.

thats about 3 months old.. big already.. you can just offer cat food and water. she may be do not know what the heck is dry cat food eheheh.. she will slowly eat it smile.gif

if u worried she wont eat anything, get the wet food by whiskas small packet rm1.20 each...

while waiting for new home for that kitten, dont mix her up with your king of the house smile.gif else that kitten turn out to be the slave eheheh..

lastly, if u feel like keeping juliet in the house, neuter your romeo first ok smile.gif then u will have home sweet home...

hurm,thx..and i clean her ears every time after bath, and the last time,huhuh..OMG,last month maybe..my bad..huhu..she hates her ears to be clean.notty gal.i'll go and clean it right away, but before that,u just use a cotton buds to clean them?cause iused to clean them with damp cotton buds,is that ok?
and can i use baby oil a lil bit?some one told me it can be used?urgh??

yeah, but not sure if that is a sign of boring or laziness of her..
owez slepp 20h/7!i thought cats don't sleep at nite, but as soon as i sleep so did she..aiyahh..
but when i have time i'll play with her,and here u go,she'll go so crazy..haha..

her fur is not tooo longg, since she's not persian just like normal DLH,medium long, like that?

horny cat normally will have sensitive back part (near the tail), if you rub that early, they will show up their butt.. this is one sign their still have feeling of sex LOL.

hahaha...i just wonder why the hell she owez do that when i tepuk that part (near the tail) and she'll showed up her butt..anyway i found that is kinda cute,though..haha..
but about that scream out loud, she never done that as far as i know, she'll scream out loud if she's trying to call anybody in the house, just got back from some where and muncul at my bed room window like saying;"hey,im back!where's my food?"haha..and if she found something like lizard, cockroach to play with (really make me mad!),or in the bathroom, want to take a bath..haha..
i've asked the vet about this, and he dunno laa..how stupid..
wow..that deshedding tool on the link u gave looks cool..nice thing..but since u said it's hard to find, can i buy like urs?look ok too..is it?and the price is also okay with me..is it available at Pets Wonderland (the only famous pet shop i know)???Btw,where is Petsmore?ngehehee..

okeh,so that was really hairballs, and that was the first time i've seen it for the entire years she had been with us..haha..maybe she did vomit it,but some where else (dunt want to give trouble her owner)..
haha..noooo..the fur is not even an amount of 3cats okay..normal kot?

Where can i find either orijen or innova evo.but if it's hard to find and the price is  shakehead.gif for me,maybe i'll try them later if i have enuff money..haha..so i've to go to Blackwood then..what about the price?
Is it easy to fine at any pet shops ?
ohh,ok.I'll PM CutiePie later. thumbup.gif
*
your cat seem to be semi long hair cat... which is medium.. normally medium on body, but bushy on the tail.

i dont really like my cats playing with insect, lizzard, etc... im afraid that thing carried infection from outside. oh well u know cockroach is from a dirty place right. lizard eating flies...

Hello guys  smile.gif

I've just visited the vet few days ago to follow up my Felix's diarrhea condition. This time I was attended by another vet since Dr. S was on another branch. After follow up the checking, the vet told me my Felix was fine, just need to eat his medicine for another week then it'll recover. Then the vet did ask me to vaccinate my Felix and I fully agreed. While examining him after the shot, he found out Felix got flea eggs on his fur and I did notice too before. So I was asked to use Frontline and I did later that night. It's seems fine as he's active & naughty like usual on his 2nd day of shot(recover fast indeed  biggrin.gif ), but as I woke up by him this morning and while I raise him, I saw watery poo stuck on his rear fur. This is the 1st time I see poo like this hmm.gif

1. The dosage of medicine is reduce, will that be the culprit?
2. He's not stress or having fever since he's active and eat well on 2nd day, or still is the vaccine's influence??
3. I put on Frontline and the eggs still stick on his fur. Does it take time to see the results?
4. If this continue for 3 days, will I need to take him to the vet straight away or keep monitor his condition?

I really appreciate your guys help  notworthy.gif

He is still on medicine right? if yes, wait till you finish all the tablets. and see if anything improve.

yes vaccine normally took 2-3 days to end. so during this days you will see him tired and moody. some sort like vaccine taking action.

what type of frontlike u r using? spray or spot on? u need to comb your cat with fleas comb.. google image on how this comb look like. when u comb, the eggs will drop, if u give frontline doing all the job by itself, it will be alil bit slow to recover. eggs will hatch soon.. so comb it.

what you can do is call the vet after 4th day. and ask why your handsome felix still ... tell the vet what u see, such as continous diarrhea, etc.

make sure your cat drink enough water ok smile.gif monitor the water intake, let say 1 glass in a bowl, see how much it decrease.

ok thank you.
i got one more thing to ask you.
Can a never-traveled-cat before starts to travel?
I mean, the whole family will be away for two days for a brother graduation at Tronoh,Perak.
So im not sure weather to put her at the pet shop (but they aren't at the shop at nite),ask the neighbours help (but not the former owner) or bring her along?
but is it ok for cat to travel about two-three hours??
*
yes u can bring cat travel in the car. u need to consider few things, first ime cat might having this vocal calling... some stress, some eager to see whats going on, some cannot stop moving... some frightening.

what u can do, to start practicing now.. maybe 10 minutes drive some where. show ur cat that thing is moving side by side with others LOL... show them, human travel on car on the road eheheh... so later he/she won't be culture shock.

and lastly, u need to consider poo and pee eheheh.. some cat cannot tahan, just pee in the car. that will be a problem...some people will not feed their cat before the journey.. but kesian also ur cat travel with empty stomach...

if i were u, i will just pay someone to jaga the cat. he will be safe at home, and u having fun at perak smile.gif

ouh..hehehe..thanks..my bro and me has tried before bring her in the car without carrier, when went to the vet, from what i can see she really eager to see at the outside, but i didn't let her,im worried she'll get heart attack ke..huhu..hehe

so for the practice,it should be in the travel cage or free and let her see every thing?is that ok?
yehh..im now worry about poo and pee since u mention some cannot tahan..haha..

pay someone to jaga?will they take a good care of her..talk or play with her..(of course don't,don't expect that right..)
and one more, for one day she didnt see me she will get all tak tentu arah..what about 2days.huhu..

ok2..i'll decide soon and consider about asking someone to take care of her..
*
yes u can bring your cat without cage or carrier in the care.. but for your own safety, please use.. u know driving on high way with living creatures like cats.. cats are different from dogs.. dogs will listen to you, but as for cats - u need to listen to them. there is one time my cat forcing himself seating and standing on the driver place while the car is moving, and its kinda disturbing.

so for you own good and safe journey, pls consider again.

pay some one to jaga.. if that person love cats, sure will jaga your cat like jaga their own cat.

if that person do not have cat at home, i prefer my cat to be 24/7 in cage at their home LOL... just feed and throw poo.. dont touch my cats eheheh.. since they dont have experience..

Cats are best pets on earth. Simply adore them. Mine is 7-year-old Skipper - lovely and phlegmatic creature unlike me.  biggrin.gif

MAYDAY MAYDAY!!!

In need of helps from MeoW pro!!!

I have a hamster, and cat 'likes' them right. Today, a cat came into the living room and gave birth to a few kittens. What should I do, and my housemate will be back tomorrow afternoon I think. The worse part is they (he) will beat cats up, literally!!
To make thing worse, the cat gave birth near his rack! So he will definitely be pissed! Thus cruelty will come, I can't say much, he will just blame me and I hate to argue, they will say we left the sliding door open, cause I have a hamster etc etc. Well, if the were no rules, I can beat him up anytime since I am much more physical than him, but I want to avoid argument, we staying togather ma.

So the thing is, how can I settle this matter before he returns tomorrow, if I don't settle it tomorrow, I fear for the lives of the cats!

What I know is after giving birth, you are not allowed to go near them, or mama cat will eat all the babies, I'm not in now, will be back home at 6, now my girlfriend is all alone at home, can someone advice me what to do please, we won't raise cat just so you know.
*
this is a hard case...

have u ever come near to the mama and the kittens? how do mama act? fears or ok ok?

are they in a box? if yes, u can move the most somewhere else. if not, try to get big box, move mama and kittens to the box.. and bring somewhere safe.. if u staying on a land property, maybe the garage will do.

i understand how u felt, before your friend arrive home, i do hope u can clean that labor part. else he might trace something fishy.

good luck eh..

Hi all, i read about giving cats eat raw food is much more healtier than giving them commercial cat foods. any comments on this ?
*
both have pro and cons...

so feed both, like daily food will be dry food/commercial food. and few times in a week will be raw or half cook food.

commercial food contains some nutrition or extra vitamins that is not in available in raw. and vice versa.

many people choose commercial because it is easy to prepare and cheaper.

if u have alot of free time, you can do your own pets food, u can google for cat food recipes icon_rolleyes.gif
