Nearly bought a cat similar to the picture below at JB yesterday. We went to the pet shop to buy a 10 kg royal canin ROYAL CANIN FELINE CARE NUTRITION HAIR AND SKIN 33 @ RM215.

Pet shop owner claims its a mainecoon X persian. It was soo cute with its socks and fluffy tail. I was playing around with it and it was so adorable.. 700rm.. At that moment we were thinking of how to bring it back to singapore. haha...

Cant you snuggle the cat inside a bag?
Would the customs or immigration check?
Actually I found a cat similiar to the picture.
Its a she with mackeral markings.
I did ask a friend if its a maine coon mix since he was an expert on maine coons and he said could be a possibility.
I will take a picture of her and post it later.

i was thinking of doing that! maybe next week if my family is crazy enough and the cat is still there, we will put the cat in the bag... but what if it meows out loud! haha we were even thinking of sedating the cat so it won't meow.. hmm... it was sooo adorablee.. ahhh cannot sleep properly!
*
Ha..ha.. I know what you mean.
I have been through that before.
Yeah... I think a mild sedation would be ok just to keep it quiet.
Good Luck! biggrin.gif

hello guyz...i juz bought british short hair...its about 2 month....i give it royal canin 36...but it just lips it....do i have to give it kitten milk?
*
First of all its too young to be seperated from its mum as it still needs to drink its mum's milk.
Most appropriate age for a kitten to be seperated from the mum is at 3 months of age.
You can try to feed it with wet food first and then slowly introduce it to RC Baby Cat.
I think RC 36 kibbles is too big and hard for the kitten to bite as the teeth is not strong yet.

Kittens do not need milk other than their mother's milk.
If you give it off the shelf milk, it will have diarrhea.

ok...i will try....wht should i do if the kitten wont eat the wet food?
*
Dont worry, when your kitten is hungry she will eat it.
Try mixing RC Baby Cat (not RC36) with the wet food.
Or you can try to soak the RC 36 with a bit of water to soften the kibbles.

At first she came to me meowing and all, then started rubbing her head against my face and hands... the next minute she started biting me. Clawed my hand so that I couldn't pull it out and used her legs to scratch me

Suddenly only she turned into aggressive mode and my hand is so painful right now T____T

Please tell me she has no rabies omgg.
*
Ha..ha... of course your cat does not have rabies.

hi guys; yesterday i've adopted a cat from SSPCA.. a large siamese called "Snowy"

right now she just hides under my couch and only comes out for eating. she's very jumpy, even hearing footsteps she'll go to high alert. she always wants to go out everytime i put her in her cage (the 30" long one); and i find myself inevitably letting her out of it.

is this normal when a cat is getting used to a new home?

thanks in advance..
*
Congratulations on saving a cat's life from being 'PTS'! rclxms.gif
Yes, its normal for a cat to hide and not come out when it is in a new surrounding as its not familiar with the house and you yet.
It will take from a few days to a week for it to be comfortable in your house.
You need to spend as much time as possible with it.
Talk to it, stroke it and make it feel safe.
Good Luck!

hi guys, I have an adopted kitten, I supposed he is 2~3 months old, his tail is fairly long and after he uses cat litter he always drops his tail on the poop >_<... needless to mention he does not know how to cover the things up... he lives free inside the house so I am having real hard time with this problem... any suggestion? like how to train him? = (

p/s: it's been 2 weeks & he still hasn't learned this basic hygiene = (
*
I am afraid to say that some cats do not bother to cover up their poo poo after doing their business.
I geuss they are just plain lazy.
Some cats will sratch the sides of the litter box but not the sand.
Maybe because they dont like the sand on their paws.
I geuss you have to live with it sweat.gif

Hi there Petlover,

Yes, I do agree with you.
Not easy to find a housemate who loves animals.
For me I prefer to stay on my own.
I can do anything I like in the house rclxm9.gif

After fifteen beautiful years, Mok, the adorable fatty cat, last descendant of the lovely Queen Mother Raisa, has left us. He slipped into a coma and died of Renal Failure at 9pm tonight, 5th April 2011. He died at the vet in UPM Serdang. We love you Mok. You are already very dearly missed.

hello..guyz..i need help here..my cat just get fubgus around its ear and leg...wht should i do?some said its a "corupt"??
*
What is fubgus? tongue.gif
Or is it Fungus? hmm.gif
To identify if your cat is having fungus you will need to bring it to the vet where the vet will check under an ultra violet light.
If its confirmed fungus, then just bathe your cat with Malaseb shampoo.
Its a medication shampoo especially for fungus.

Hi Hackezkk,

Yes, it looks like the cat is enjoying itself.
I have hammocks for sale if you are interested.
There are two types.
One you can hang on the grill of your door, cat cage or window grill and the other one is the normal one that usually is hung inside the cat cage.
Interested hmm.gif
Visit my website and have a look at the items.

The ear conditions looks REALLY serious....baik hantar vet cepat2....

I think my Luna have been bitten by my hedgehog....there's a small  round whole on his left shoulder, showing flesh a bit...the size is about 1 cm size....he is a curious brat, i think he poke my hedgie and the guy got mad and bit Luna...haiz...T_T

Is there any medicine I can put on the wound on my own (eg : disinfection cream like dettol) or should i send to vet?

So far no signs of infections, the wound is small n clean. he is just a bit grumpy and avoid me touching him for the moment. other than that he is normal.
*
If the wound is small and clean just put 'minyak gamat' on it.
The minyak gamat will dry up the wound very fast thumbup.gif

Hi Everyone! Im a newcomer here and I need your advise smile.gif
Im going off for a short trip (7 days) and I need to find a pet hotel for my 2 adult cats. Preferable a cat friendly environment. Actually this will be their first time being away from home so I want to make sure their temp home will be comfortable for them.

Im staying in Putrajaya and there's a pet shop nearby my house, Klinik Haiwan Mesra at Presint 15 Diplomatic that offer a pet hotel service. Anyone have any experience before with the clinic? Hope you can share it with me your experience in terms of their services.

Im also open to any pet hotel recommendations around selangor area. Hope you can state the location, service and the pricing.

My main priority is to make sure my cats will be comfortable in their temp home. Hope you guys can give me some suggestions. Thank you. smile.gif

Hi,

I have heard negative and positive comments about boarding at Klinik Mesra. You can read about it at petfinder.com.my under Vets and Docs review. Good boarding that I have heard will be Pet Epicure which is located at Taman Melawati. Its pricing but worth it thumbup.gif You can also try home boarding at Seri Kembangan. He is friend of mine and does boarding. So far so good. His contact is prinzi81@yahoo.com

Hi all cat lovers, need your help...A friend of mine want to buy an adult female persian. Can you suggest me a a good breeder?I live in selangor.
*
There are lots of persian breeders nowadays.
It all depends on your friends budget biggrin.gif
A persian costs roughly around RM2k to RM3k
Breeders that I know would be Padipaddy, Catizadi Persians just to name a few.
These persians come with CFA certs
If you dont want a registered persian you can find lots of them in mudah.com but no point in spending RM2k and above if you dont get a CFA cert.

anyone ever tried this product ?

is it good? coz my cat poo poo very badly last time i give it
*
No this milk is not good for your cats as this is the cheap type.
For your information, cats do not need milk.
If you have small kittens that does not have a mother and needs milk go and buy Milkodog.
Its expensive but very good for the kittens.

So cute!
You can buy a grooming brush from any petshop but make sure that the tip of the steel grooming comb is rounded as if its not it might hurt your kitten/cat when grooming.
