That security device thing is the most unfriendly thing I ever used. It worked well at first but after a few times, not sure why it will run out of sequence which require a call to the CS to clear it. After a few times, same problem again. I very much prefer the other alternative which is widely used nowadays which is the TAC.

I think AMEX consider me as high risk user because my application for gold card has been turned down I guess. No replies after 2 months. On the other hand, gonna get another card from SCB. Not sure what card though. One thing is that, its good to get a lot of cards nowadays to get different rebates offered by them. I always tend to use Alliance and Citibank Shell because of their good rebate rate especially Alliance. The bad thing is that they had a limit.

Is it SCB Platinum cards so easy to get approve nowadays?

Bro,

You can rightfully said so. Show them a card with 18k limit is the easiest way to gain Plat card with them. I signed up during PC Fair for fun. It got approved when I attached my 18k limit Alliance Gold card. When I received that card today (slight delay after courier problem), they in fact issue both Mastercard and VISA as a combo. The combined limit is 43k for me. This is more than my annual salary (minus bonus). I think credit card will boom in the next 3 years.

Still thinking wanna use or not. Lowest cash back rate of all when comparing Citibank Shell Gold (0.75%), Alliance Gold (Tier upto 1.3% for first 3k) and SCB Plat (0.5%)

Not all the banks are same I think. I only spent once before in China. When I received the bill, it was in fact cheaper than buying with cash due to more favorable exchange rate. That time I was using Southern Bank mastercard.

CIMBClicks just lower their Inter Bank Transfer to RM0.50 nia. Lastime was RM2. Sometimes quite much as it only allows max RM5k and when CC bill was more than 5k, extra charge. Now at 50cent, it does not matter liao.

Just receive Citibank Shell RM62 rebate... this is the best card I ever used... each year can get RM300++ in rebate... in my 2nd year...
