Then interest is charged in daily basis. 18% is the annual rate. You need to convert it to daily rate.

The interest rate @18% is per annum basis. So if you settle earlier, it will be less.

I suspect it's SCB's SOP for CC applications. I received an SMS too; but I also read about forummers complaining about not hearing from SCB.

Today I go to CIMB collect my new CIMB Islamic credit card.
I ask the staff, does this card have rebate? She say this card collect points only, no rebate. CIMB Petronas got rebate while pump petrol and retail purchase
And some more I read the T&C and found that this card only use purchase Halal goods only.
If let say I go supermarket to buy liquor plus some snack and some goods in one receipt, does CIMB Islamic credit card approve?

Er.. I don't think the card will be able to know Ur buying ciggies & liquor so should be no problems

Why? You also join the club? You should get it earlier for entitlement of early bird rebate. But it's never too late now, as the 2%-5% rebate on ALL retail transactions (subject to RM600/annum) is simply irresistible! Btw, SCB sends SMS to inform you if your application is successful.

It used to give cash rebate when it was first introduced. Looks like they have changed it to point system.

Just apply the CIMB Petronas as another new card.

Er.. I didn't apply for the SCB JustOne - maybe I'll look into that later but see how lah cause ma fan lah want to carry so many CCs. I applied for a different SCB card. And yup SCB does send SMS but the CS also informed me of my application status.

I guess SCB will send SMS if your application is successful only. So, do expect to receive the cc within next couple of days.

The CS called me last Tuesday to get acknowledgement for the opening of a Current/Checking account should my application is successful.

But until now, still no news from them on the status.

* Actually am in for the rebates only, otherwise would be contented with my current cards.
