Why do we need to input sound to our monitor..? ^^
*
cuz if u use pc and ps3 together in 1 lcd monitor
it is much more convinient cuz as below:

pc audio out > lcd > speaker
ps3 > lcd > speaker

u just switch the hdmi/dvi and u no need to keep on changing the speaker plug

People buy LCD monitor with DVI and HDMI ports because they connect the DVI port to the PC and the HDMI port to the PS3.
In this way, they don't have to plug and unplug the connector at the monitor end.
The DVI cable wil be permanently connected to the PC.
The HDMI cable will be permanently connected to the monitor as well.  When they want to play PS3, they just plug the HDMI cable to the PS3 and start playing.  When stop playing, just pull it out from the PS3.

some monitor with hdmi and dvi input....it will provide you to switch between several inputs without plug in/out like the tv smile.gif
