LOL...same thinking for me last whole night...
what convince me is:
5 year warranty, mean this monitor at least can last 5 year without problem. Total price Rm 1644. 1 day rm 0.92444444. ok la..hamtam nia...

although i know there maybe better monitor come out afterward, but nvm la...cos mine 17inch crt edi can last me for 8 year without complaining about its performance until now.

advance from a 17" crt to a 24" lcd....

Added on September 4, 2009, 5:28 pmya, its depend on person to person. some may not sensitive for the performance, than there is not much different you can notice as long as u don compare side by side~ The U2410 is a wide gamut LCD...so...not everyone can accept this~

unpacking my Dell U2410 now...~~~

u need check both home&home office, and small&medium business for LCD. both section have different type LCD.

i bought last month at Rm 1664 with 5 year warranty~ but now just back to malaysia and start using it~~

anyone can tell me what color is the 1st rule and regulation on your monitor??~
before i change monitor, its blue. now its purple~

arr..how come a??~ is it calibration problem??

as from this test image, the light intense part of the blue color bar i see from here is also purple~ but for the heavy intense part, i see is blue...@@

Just replace another unit U2410 from dell...now pink tint issue occur on my left lower corner. Seem its not a great time yet to purchase this monitor.

After compare with this 2nd monitor, 1st monitor having serious color calibration problem. All the preset color mode is out of order. And i see purple color rather than the original blue color in some color code.

wait for next revision come out just buy U2410~ Just advise~ U2410 user here~

Advise for all possible Dell U2410 buyer, try to avoid this monitor at all cost!!!

The monitor come with a manufacturer defect of Pink/Green Tint issue, and the solution provided by Dell was "Within Spec" and "Show me a 24" EIZO for $529 and lets compare." By Dell.

ya..dont buy it at the moment. Its better to wait for newer revision. Or if really cant wait, just get another model or brand.
If still insist in this model, you can try your luck also. According to those playing Dell lottery, they having a winning chance of 1:5~ 1 out of 5 will be free/less noticeable from the issue.

no risk actually...just you waste your time in exchanging~

yup..mostly is calibration issue i believe. But than the Dell said they doing test only on the center of the screen rather than the whole screen, so i think this is the main problem that cause the uneven screen color where some part get cool, some part get warm, and some part get normal.

1st unit have color problem, so i request a 2nd unit, they send it to me at the next day after i called. and suddenly i found out 2nd unit(refurbish) is defect also, so i request a 3rd unit, they send it to me 2 days after i called, its a new unit btw, but also come with pink/green tint problem. For my 3rd unit i still not yet call for warranty as i wish to know more about how they will solve the problem first.

the best of dell is they pickup and exchange the defect unit right from ur door step. You only need to wait them to come over.
