We have to warn against usage of this monitor for anyone who does a lot of work during nights, or in dimly lit environments. Also, if you like to play movies in pitch black room, then this monitor will not make it. Ditto for games.

S2409W is not comparable to VX2433 becuz they are of different league. VX series are the high end display from Viewsonic. Furthermore the price difference since it's launch is pretty much far apart.

When i bought my S2409, i was also eyeing on vx2433. but @ RM640 for 24" Full HD at that time is a damn good buy. every1 was ordering it like mad. at that time vx2433 was selling at RM780-800. So yea, budget kept me back. Anyway, the S2409 is doing its job quite well. My next buy will definitely be Viewsonic or DELL Ultrasharp. The ultrasharp is really sharp.

i think my viewsonic va1716w is getting outdated. i bought this monitor at the end of 2008 with RM430, but now, RM430 can but 20' lcd already 

HD term has been totally being 'abused' by marketing lately. Nowadays, a lot of people just seek for HD without knowing what it HD about. More about feel good factor instead knowing the actual fact of it.

Simply go out to ask, what is HD? I can bet 90% of the people will tell the screen is more sharp and crisp. <-- which is not actually true, whether your screen is sharp and crisp or not, still depended on your source.

In actual fact, most people bought full HD to watch Astro only, which is kind of waste on the full HD. Pay extra couple hundred on full HD screen, but 99% of the time watching Astro which not yet a HD content, correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah, but seems HD Ready or FullHD are the only thing now

can i know why many manufacture did not manufacture anymore 4:3 LCD? If got, the price very expensive

Time for u to run 2-3 monitor set up lor, now is the perfect time coz so cheap oredi LCD.   

yeah, currenty my philips 191ew LCD is 16:9 wide, its "truely" wide, but why it is not 19 inch wide, its 18.5 inch wide someone said.

I'd say you can never go wrong with Viewsonic VX2433wm.

It has everything you would need. Price is also quite a bargain for a 23.6"-er.

I went to evaluate some LCDs yesterday and found out that oddly Viewsonic is better than Samsung P2350.

Envy you all from KL, you have so much wide choice than Penangites.
