QUOTE(Dreamworks @ Sep 25 2009, 07:48 PM) Hey, you are good at hunting reviews! I was searching high and low last time for a review of the Angelo but couldn't come up with one. Nevertheless, I still bought the AOC anyway Thanks! Just want to help other make a worthwhile purchase.. here's my previous review of ACO that i've found and posted earlier... There is minor mistranslation of the review's title by Google though, so for those who couldn't read Chinese... Title (In Chinese): 比苹果更华丽 AOC天使液晶显示器2434Pw首测 Translation by Google: Apple is more beautiful than the angels AOC LCD 2434Pw the first test Actual meaning: More gorgeous/magnificient/elegant than an apple - A review of the AOC Angelo LCD Monitor 2434Pw It is actually quite hard to find a proper representation of 华丽 in English, but you get the idea. And the review of the AOC Angelo turns out to be very positive http://www.0769pc.com.cn/news/html/2009-3-3/937551.htm http://www.my3c.cc/diy/5823.html For those who can't read chinese use Google translator to translate the webpage, cheers! |

went to ALL IT in Ikano yesterday, saw the LCDs on display, noticed that Viewsonic VX2433WM and AOC monitors (not sure which models) had some serious image noise problem (and heavy backlight bleeding for AOC's). Maybe had something to do with the connection, but all other monitors from the same source had no such problem (playing Advent Children Complete Demo I believed).
Samsung and LG monitors looked fine, but Samsung 2494HS showed the best IQ among others despite having only 5ms response time (my eyes could not see any difference anyway). The color was vivid and bright. Samsung P2350 was on display as well, loved the design, but the image displayed was too dark and gloomy for my liking. LG monitors did not seem to be as sharp or as vivid as their Samsung counterparts though. I was tempted to get BenQ G2200HD which was selling for RM489 only, but that model was not on display, hence I could not determine its IQ This post has been edited by cyew86: Sep 27 2009, 04:56 PM |

Does anyone here check for usage hour / cycle when buying a LCD? I found mine has >50 cycles after 1 day purchase.. what can be done?
edit: the power cord that comes together is not of the normal type as the one found usually. It seems like power cord used by other countries (a sticker there shows 110V/xxx). The normal one should be something like PSU power cord right? This post has been edited by CalvinCLK: Sep 28 2009, 08:13 AM |

Quite annoyed with Samsung T240, bought early this year and now have problems within less than a year.
I am stuck with using a 4 years old 19inch Samsung monitor. This post has been edited by kianweic: Sep 28 2009, 10:16 AM |

Hi, It's been a long time since I check the LCD specification or function. Recently I'm planning to purchase a 24inches LCD (most probably is LG). But I will need to find the LCD which has the displayed port as the graphic card that I'm gonna to buy will need at least one displayed port in order to run eyefinity function (HD5870). Any LCD pro's can help me??
Oh, and by the way, the converter will not work for eyefinity function which I'm so sad bout it. This post has been edited by Jet23sky: Sep 28 2009, 10:31 AM |
