new owner of dark knight (bought the item from lingloong lerr), the heatsink itself is about 160mm+ in overall length, my casing is 200mm width after minus the mobo's back plate, the heatsink's nipple already touch the side panel, luckily still can close the cover sweat.gif

Thinking seriously to change the casing, need some bucks to get one.

This DK and RS is about 160mm in length from the top end coils down to the hdt plate, I believed those with casing less than 200mm width would be in trouble closing the side panel.

QUOTE(LYNsucks @ Oct 27 2009, 11:38 PM)
U guys have any thought on removing the dk? Since two of the screws are blocked by the fan so that means tha fan must be removed first but the mounting rubber doesn't seems easy to be removed. Any of u have tried removed it before? Ask this just in case.

The cons about this xiggies, removing the mounting rubber is bit difficult plus you need to stretch it out first. During installing do not completely push the rubber into the fin's notch, it will hard to take it out later on. Or in other way we can squeeze the rubber out from the fan by using the long nose plier. Either way, I am still sacred as the rubber seems to putus when we stretching it. However the pros are, the rubbers can be purchase separately and easily available from xigmatek sellers here in lyn . No need to worry as some other products using the pin, which in case broken... the owner have to look hi and lo to find the replacement.
