Dark knight s1283v looks kinda attractive but I wonder whether it can fit into my aerocool aeroengine ii casing or not...
Currently using the stock cooler which sucks as the pushpin cause my mobo bent.

Just install the dark knight over the stock heat sink and the temperature is somewhat weird. Before this, the temp is around 42c - 43c and with dk, the temp is at 41c static, which improve by only 1c!
After 50% load on stock heat sink, I check the temp immediately after load and it is at around 50c and drops slowly over time. On dk, after 50% load I check immediately and it remain at the static 41c! I thought might be the sensor went haywire since the temperature didnt rise and it shouldnt drop that fast. So to confirm this I run realtemp and then up the load to 50% again and it seems the temp fluctuate inconsistently; now 42c next second 45c then 43c then 47c and so on instead of 1c increment!
After load when back to idle the temp drop straight to 41c static again. Well, I'm using e8400 non oc and is on a cold day. That temp is is a bit high isnt it considering many people get like 30c-ish temp on idle.

QUOTE(farscope @ Sep 20 2009, 08:44 PM) both core stuck at 41 or onli 1? after i changed my HSF, my core 1 temperature oso stuck at 40°C and never go below it.. onli will rise.. temperature sensor problem is very common among 45nm processors.. Most of the time 2nd core always at 41c even on stock heatsink. It's only the 1st core changed mostly.

U guys have any thought on removing the dk? Since two of the screws are blocked by the fan so that means tha fan must be removed first but the mounting rubber doesn't seems easy to be removed. Any of u have tried removed it before? Ask this just in case.

QUOTE(powerwoot @ Oct 28 2009, 09:37 AM) The cons about this xiggies, removing the mounting rubber is bit difficult plus you need to stretch it out first. During installing do not completely push the rubber into the fin's notch, it will hard to take it out later on. Or in other way we can squeeze the rubber out from the fan by using the long nose plier. Either way, I am still sacred as the rubber seems to putus when we stretching it. However the pros are, the rubbers can be purchase separately and easily available from xigmatek sellers here in lyn . No need to worry as some other products using the pin, which in case broken... the owner have to look hi and lo to find the replacement. OMG! I've already insert it completely long before this! Guess I'll have to do it the hard way if I need it disassembled. And TS seems like have change from xigmatek fan to roccat fan(not spinning fan but idolize).
