I only make decision next week or the week after (as per my original plan)... That's the risk I know I'm taking since day 1 I bought it.
QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jun 24 2009, 04:48 PM) yah i remember you had both CH & CJ. any plans for CH? hoping for some sparks? haha why with extra small size font are you the one who queued for 100,000 shares! Nope! Maybulk one is not sustainable one lar.
Talking about shipping industry, FSL Trust (S'pore counter) will be the highest dividend counter I know. Based on my buying price in Feb, Dividend yield is 40% (should be easy to get based on Q1 dividend and commited Q2 dividend) to 50% (when economy recovers). QUOTE(teehk_tee @ Jun 24 2009, 04:55 PM) |

I bought it at S$0.366, today closing is S$0.61. If you buy now, you still get 24% dividend.
Do let me know if you know any M'sia counter than give this much dividend! QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jun 24 2009, 05:02 PM) |

That's the minimum I think I should be getting. If you refer back to few month back, I did post this info. Anyway, below is the link to FSL trust. Their dividend actually increasing every year, just that this year they reduce the dividend payout ratio to conserve cash to pay off some debt (for reduce risk).

That' why I buy mar! 24% DY... is it constantly like that? there are a few malaysia counter used to give Special Dividends (eg. Hapseng, Genting), thus making the yeild become attractive, but that's like once in a blue moon. QUOTE(protonw @ Jun 24 2009, 05:16 PM) |

QUOTE(protonw @ Jun 24 2009, 05:20 PM) Touch wood if really market kaboom, you still have 3+ years, and anything can happen during this period. You may smile all the way to the bank. Thats way I am tempted but need to seriously do research first la. Yup! Cherroy is right! But, for the next few years, it should not be a problem. QUOTE(cherroy @ Jun 24 2009, 05:22 PM) For FSL trust, I studied before. The high yield come from its cashflow not solely form profit means major chunk of cashflow come from depreciation that eating up the profit. That's why it has high yield. If the yield come from profit alone, I don't think the share price will remain at current high yield. Means that once reach end of life of their vessels based on the depreciation, they need to raise borrowing to buy new vessel to continue the business (in theory). Practically wise, some old retired (based on depreciation year) vessel still worth something left. Don't mean it is good or not good, just explain the actual situation. |

Are you sure you want to play S'pore stocks? S'pore REITs got higher risk than M'sia REITs!!! Need to take note on that.
FSL Trust is not a REITs. It is a shipping trust! Make sure you read thru Cherroy comments before jumping ship! QUOTE(protonw @ Jun 24 2009, 05:37 PM) |
