hi, im new to this ipod touch, and planning to get a ipod 3g 32gb from midvalley machines

where can i buy 3rd party or cheap power adapter to charge it?

how abt FM Radio receiver? any hints it would have?

still waiting for machines to stock 3g ipod touch...still no news yet from their website twitter

just got an ipod touch 3g 32gb from a forumer. Brand new in sealed packaging. its a set from US and have been registered for warranty.

slightly lower than the official pricing here. if u guys wanna get it contacts seller, he have a few left.

This is a generic usb power adapter, actually from my HP ipaq 112. I was wondering if this can be used to charge my ipod touch 3g when im away from a pc. here's the picture of the amperage/current ratings and stuff :

if u have a pc with internet + wifi dongle u can use adhoc

on 1st run of blackra1n did u manage to see geohot's picture on your Touch? and blackra1n icon in your ipod?

for Touch 3G u need to run it twice, 1st to JB it and once again to reboot it.

and subsequently for every reboot u need to blackra1n using your pc again, otherwise it wont boot and stuck at connect iTunes logo.

so in your case, since u say u stuck at 'connect to itunes', exit iTunes, click make it rain on your pc, then attach your ipod. If iTunes comes out again and asks u to restore dont do so.

yes, that's the special case of our 3rd gen ipod touch. it is called tethered jailbreak. for blackra1n all other devices(such as iphone, ipod touch 2G) are untethered, except ipod touch 3g.

in summary, dont reboot or do something that can cause reboot if u are away from a pc that has blackra1n.

there is no patch for this currently. A group called Chronic Dev would be releasing their own JB(not known when) but even they cant confirm whether it would be untethered for Touch 3G.

btw, Machines called me while i was driving this afternoon, I think it's Mid Valley machines, cause I asked them to call when Touch 3G has arrived there. But i got my US set earlier(and cheaper) thanks to a forumer.

I'm curious of those who bought in LYP, do the Touch 3G 32gb going cheaper than RM1100 in shops there, like ALLIT or Thundermatch?

btw, for those who planning to buy a 8GB iPod Touch 3G/late 2009 model and plan to jailbreak, be advised geohot's blackra1n does not work on it cause geohot overlooked the presence of this model

they say ipod's touchscreen is scratch-proof, but do u guys put on a screen protector nonetheless?

where can i buy screen protectors for ipod touch? cant seem to find it anywhere, even this forum

i use Mediacoder iphone/ipod edition HERE

the settings are specialized and specific for our ipod, so no need to trial and error or think what settings to use

what i do is add the video and check the source video bitrate in-app, then i just adjust the output bitrate so that it would not be higher than the source, as this would lead to waste

uses H264 codec and uses multicore(if u have) to speed up encoding
