Try holding home button and power button down for 8 secs till the device reboots. (did you use unthethered method? If you did you cannot bootup without plugging into iTunes.)

Or it might be that you haven't charged your ipod for sometime, and it needs time to wake up.

If you jailbreak, the people at service centre will know once they handle your ipod touch (even if you restore). Unless you have restored your ipod touch by other means (not sure if allowed to mention in this topic)

iPod Touch is International Warrenty, unlike iPhone. So you can bring it into any authorized service centre worldwide for repairs.

Clearly you don't study marketing (if u do... ), if Apple puts all its eggs in the basket at the same time, whos gonna buy their future products? Its the same for other brands. For example mobile phones, you nvr hold one and think: THIS IS IT! THeres always something missing to the final picture which makes you upgrade the next time around.

Hmm... all Apple products have overheating probs, due to the "slim and sleek" design.

Your ipod touch condition is ok liao! You should see some people's ipod touch, sticky sticky and covered with grime. So dirty that it takes 3 or 4 pieces of tissue to get the surface clean and reach the actual unit surface...major EWW there...
