Anyone saw casein or ON 2:1:1 somewhere? None of the GNC's I've been to stocks them. And egonutritions.com is out of stock on casein. Do they have it in the Curve?

Nope, a search for 'casein' did not deliver any hits from the garage sales section. Their sortiment is very limited anyway.

I'll go check it out at the Curve tomorrow. I'm there pretty often, but have always avoided egonutritions ever since a stupid chinese girl tended to me. She was trained to only ask one question: Do you want to gain mass, or do you want to gain muscle? and depending on the reply to either recommend a mass gainer or protein powder. I felt like telling her that it's people like her who cause all the grief in the world.

Added on June 19, 2009, 11:00 pmGNC salespeople, OTOH, are above average in both intelligence and knowledge. You can actually talk to them like they're human beings. There was this girl I talked to at GNC Sunway Pyramid; I wasn't sure if Pro Complex would go well with water, or if it goes well with milk. I was trying hard to describe this; she said "You want to know if it's a cloudy drink?" And there is this Indian girl at GNC Pavillion. They did not stock casein; she then looked around for NitroCore 24 because "It's timed release." Bingo.

Added on June 19, 2009, 11:03 pmIt's unbelievable, but she was smart enough not to irk me by recommending whey, their main seller.

Ppl there are trained to ask this question because most of ppl out there don't even sure what they want. " I want have muscle but not so big " lame !! or " Whats the difference between MASS GAINER and Weight Gainer and also normal Whey protein" And again why she ask that question because its easier for THEM to understand what are they looking for in a simple way !!

Try to look for a male, malay and slightly short sale dude. Ask him anything you wish to know but not SILLY question cause he don't entertain them.

The casein is RM 7.40 per scoop. 24 g of protein. Expensive. We'll see how it tastes tonight. Thankfully, the stupid chinese girl wasn't anywhere in sight.

Added on June 21, 2009, 9:52 pmInstead, there was this buff, tallish, malay guy who was sensitive, responsive and has actually eaten his own dog food. He said he preferred chocolate flavour over vanilla when it comes to casein.

^It ain't cheap. I thought drinking whey + milk will works the same way?
It'll be digested slowly, so.. it's good to be taken before sleep.

A glass of milk has about 6.8 grams of casein. Only casein is digested slowly, not whey. You'd need to drink 3.5 glasses of milk to match a single scoop of ON Casein, but then you'll have diarrhoea and you'll need to pee at 3.a.m. Not to mention the 420 kcal (1.5% fat milk) you'll have consumed at the worst point in time, just before your metabolism tanks for what amounts to a third of a day.
