Dihydrogen monoxide can cause severe burns to skin and tissue in the gaseous form, and it can cause tissue damage in solid form. Dihydrogen monoxide is also found in excessive amount in excised tumours.
gv ur comments about it. i'll reveal the answer later.

DHMO? or H2O? Dihydrogen monoxide. (Two hydrogen molecules bonded to one oxygen)
It's plain old water! DUH! Why would yu want to ban it? We are dependent on it for Christ sake!
Regards, Joey
p.s: Is there something wrong with Thread Starter or izit me? HUH?!

if u tag as CHEM then this should go to jokes heaven.

for psych discussion sake,
it goes to show how powerful a little obfuscation can do to create fear of the seemingly unknown.
no doubt, not everyone knows what the DHMO or even H2O is... and people do fear the unknown especially if its EVERYWHERE.

It's been years I've known the fact of Dihydrogen Monoxide...since in the 90s! What are the kids learning these days in school??!!
Thank yu LYN for introducing "The Science Lab". Joey~~~
p.s: I appreciate Thread Starter for starting off with a Dihydrogen Monoxide thread. Anyway, on a short note, I felt sorry for the chemophobic people. MUAHAHAHA~~~
