it's impossible for an US set to be able to use Celcom/Digi sim just like that without going through jailbreaking and soft-unlocking (ultrasn0w). unless a hardware unlock has been done.

restore your phone through iTunes and update the result here. if it doesn't work, restore through DFU mode. (read up on DFU mode via the pinned threads or do a search)

here's an update,

i use recovery mode instead of DFU, restore from itune (failed several times when the download is around 80% = =")
reboot,
asking for a correct sim to activate phone,
redsnow break-in,
reboot,
enter into homescreen at last.

insert my DiGi simcard, does not show any sign of sim being lock, but however there is no network discovered.

Network : Not Available --> Is this normal?
Version : 3.0 (7A341)
Carrier : Not Available --> Is this normal?
Modem Firmware : 04.26.08

no wifi at my place currently, so unable to ultrasn0w now.
will do it tomolo, and hope maxis will be able to use after ultrasn0w this time.

yes. all is normal for a locked set. proceed to unlocking with ultrasn0w once you have a WiFi connection.

nope, it is just empty signal bar at the top-left. will try with other telco card tomolo if i have chance.

All of us found out the hard way.

Just re-jb, install CYDIA only, and you should be good to go. Oh, and restore your iPhone as new while you're at it smile.gif

Most problem encountered v Cydia(Icy installed) are cause by jailbreaking v redsn0w.

If you happen to have a Mac, use Pwnagetool. There's no problems installing both Cydia and Icy in the process of jailbreaking. Running with both install and no errors encountered so far.

that's pretty weird. is it possible that there might be any problem with Maxis/UMobile sim? if you need further assistance, contact Hanxz here.

Upgrade the simcards if you can. That might help as we have seen forumers facing this issue.

It's as clear as the day, if the phone can detect digi and celcom then it's clearly nothing wrong with the phone ... right?

guys ! finally i've solved the problem im having, i need to type in manually all the MMS settings in cellular data network, then restart my phone n wallla, the MMS Option appeared ! tried this on 2 other i3g with same issue as mine, works wonderfully ! so yeah.. anybody cant get the MMS working try it out. wink.gif

bro, i already got the settings n all. but i cant receive / send MMS. why eh ? send fail.

Added on July 20, 2009, 6:26 pmdamn..i didnt include the MMS Proxy: 202.75.133.49:80 <------- for the 80, didnt see dat one in the tutorial i followed. ah well, its working great now ! wink.gif thx guys !

Added on July 20, 2009, 6:28 pmn also, u need to restart the phone after input everything in the MMS column bro. otherwise it wont appear.
