hi,
my friend just buy acer 4736G, found out got wireless problem.
he can connect to my LINKSYS wireless N modem, but i go check in notebook wireless status just running G(54) only .
why ???
got any problem with this model in windows 7 64 bit ???

It should be your modem setting problem, not laptop problem.
Try check your router setting either using draft N or not.

wanna ask....how come when purchase the lappy it doesnt come with any software or application copied or given in CD? where can i get all those drive in case something happen

also isnt it weird they didnt partition the disc but simply throw 500gb in single drive?

Please make a recovery back up by burn it in to a DVD for future use. Easy and fastest way to back up all the driver.
Beside, all the drive you need for 4736G can be download from acer website, no worry too. Just you wouldn't have the windows CD. So better back up it to do recovery next time.

Partition is very easy, just shrink the hark disk using the disk management or there is a lot of shrink partition software to use on the web. smile.gif

alright thanks manage to do that (partition)....also manage to download all driver but still no OS....hehe...backup recovery cd i keep in external HDD coz now no dvd (file quite huge around 9 plus GB)...hope this lappy wont have issue in future coz me not using it but my wife....afterall this is our first new version of window...never use vista at all...as i only familiar with XP (my current HP lappy is xp)

a had a problem regarding to the keyboard of my laptop 4736...
fortunately, i still have its warranty..

a few days ago, while surfing,. i saw a tiny thing under the caps lock... so, without thinking further, i just pull the caps lock hahaha
what the .... hehe
then the caps lock button removed...

fortunately, last nite, i just try repair it... and its ok..but not really..
after this..i think better use keyboard protector...hehe rclxms.gif

Since you are the one who pulled the Caplock button out I suppose its not the laptop's problem?


Btw, new 4736G user here =)
As I'm a new laptop user, may I ask what is the best way to keep my battery (not battery life) long?

When I'm using an electric supply should I remove the battery or leave it in there? Which is better?

if the battery condition is fully charge.. so, remove it.. use the battery once u want portability

question here, as we know 4736g doesnt come with vhp disc, if i reformat to win 7, will i able to use the recovery disc to convert back to vhp again?

dont let it there when its fully charge..
