i've checked my 4736G Ram and it is only 333mhz. it is actually 2 x 2GB PC5300 333mhz. anyone can confirm this?

will post up more info once i get details..

correct wat???

make it back into DDR speed and u get 667MHz (333 x2)

Hi all, i just brought a 4736G, T6500, 4GB, Nvidia G105M from a forumer yesterday.
Just now i check with CPUZ, it show me my processor name is T8100, but the specification is T6500. Feel weird about this. Any1 get the CPUZ result name as mine?
*
wat's ur CPU-Z version???

both T8100 and T6500 are 2.1GHz, 800MHz FSB, 45nm... difference is the cache... T8100 has 3MB L2, while T6500 has 2MB L2...

iirc the latest CPU-Z is 1.52...

is it calculated that way? coz there is a 667mhz ram on the market also.
so if i buy those 667 ones then multiply x 2 = 1334mhz ???  hmm.gif

I juz check my processor, it's T6570. using CPU-Z ver 1.52  smile.gif
bro, i think they sell u the wrong model with a higher end processor. Lol  rclxms.gif

667MHz DDR (wat u see on the pacakge) = 333MHz (wat u see on CPU-Z)

it's Double Data Rate RAM, so watever speed u see on packages, they ve been multiplied by 2... cuz DDR works in a way that 2 pieces of data are transmitted in 1 clock cycle... so in reality, the RAM works at 333MHz, but since 2 pieces of data are transmitted, it's working as if at 667MHz...

bad news guys,

i juz encountered a dead pixel in my 4736G. so since i bot it less than a week i called up the dealer, but dealer asked me to call acer.

ok, so i called acer this morning. guess what, they told me i need at least 4 dead pixel to claim warranty! what the 'ell, somemore they told me the 'ISO' standard for LCD screen can have up to 7 dead pixel..Wow..ok, so i told them that i bot the lappy less than 7 days with a faulty screen, and u want me to wait until it appear 3 more D.P. only u will change? by the time it got 3 more D.P. my warranty will probably ended -.-

so after hearing my ranting, they passed the case to their manager and promised to call back... let u guys know the result later...
*
the proper procedure is to deal with the shop, not Acer... since it's less than 7 days... chances are, Acer will reject ur request to repair since they ve stated in their own warranty TnC it's 4 or more...

consider Acer good in the sense that they take in with 4 pixels... most others need 5 before they accept for repair...

go to the shop kpkb with them... they ask u call Acer as they dun want to exchange with u so easily...
