I bought one Acer 4736G today for my brother and im charging it for 8 hours, just to be on the safe side. I initially was targeting Asus K40I but it was priced at RM2599 with no OS in it and as you all know its spec is very close to 4736G (90% similar spec almost same weight) and has 2 or 3 year warranty if im not mistaken and it runs on 4gig ddr3 RAM's.

On top of that i had another candidate which i helped my fren buy last 2 weeks plus ago is the Dell Studio 15 and yea its whooping RM2699 but it comes with 15"~ monitor and the winner that makes it fat in price is the ATI 4570 512Mb gpu, and vista home basic plus 2 year warranty so its too far from my budget but still i can afford it.

But when i went back today to check the Dell price its now worth Rm2799 then i like WTF i ask y increment extra they sales guy mentioned its the new stock... LOLx.

Truthfully i am very skeptical with acer and will not buy acer laptop as we all know the white screen display and hardware issues because i do troubleshoot and PC repair however today i bought one. Y u ask its because it has the best spec + performance with HOT CAKE price on top of that I received strong recommendation of its quality .

So yeah i will let u guys know how is it doing in the meanwhile pls let me know is my decision to buy this laptop is ok or bad. All review is welcomed. Thx

well, i would say not too bad...

u could ve considered Asus K40Ab if u prefer to play games... Athlon x2 with HD4570 for lowest i see, rm1899 with freedos...

but i guess, most ppl will prefer to stick with Intel...

is it 4736 comes with pre-installed VHP? how to format next time if pre-installed inside laptop without a window cd? need help here...my 4736 got only 1 partition..c drive..i wanna make 1 more by formatting it..any pros can teach me?

finally bought 4736z, no free gift, with 3 years warranty for 1715 ( since i bought 2, one for my wife also)
think quite good deal la...

easy dude u either need 2 pcs DVD or 13 pcs CD go and run the acer eRecovery Management utility from the start in acer menu then choose create factory default disc and now ur ready to format... and remember it takes 3 hours more or less to create the disc so make sure u plug in the power cord...

act, 4736g using ddr3 or ddr2...?? is it some version using ddr3 and some with ddr2..

ya some oversea version using DDR3 ram module ;( .
But with a different type of processor higher actually

Malaysia have only DDR2 ram module for the 4736G.
which I think appropriate with the T6500 fsb .
This lappy is lower end model for the 4736G.

Kepong got the Digital Axis got sell 4736G with the price of rm2399 wor...one give out free carry case only...not worth it lar...went to check it today =)

All 4736Z is using DDR3 RAM, use CPU-Z to check your RAM type.
DDR2 SO DIMMs have 200 pins, DDR3 SO DIMMs have 204 pins.
