Good news for 5530 users!
I was thinking, since 5800 V40(the popular phone) has our home screen, lots of developer will start working on making new themes for that typical home screen. PS: The old theme doesn't work on 5800 anymore.

So, if developers start developing new themes for 5800, it will be compatible with 5530! As for now, 5530 does not have alot of themes.

Hey 5530 users,

Are any newer users facing the rattly slide lock/wobbly back cover issue? It could be a batch-isolated problem, I dunno.

D: No parts feeling loose? Awesome. This is possibly unrelated, but what's the colour of your model?

Since the home screen for 5530 and 5800(v40) are the same, all new themes made should be compatible together. tongue.gif
Just like 5800(v40) also supports 5530's default theme. Lots of v40 users are currently using it, the red stripe theme of 5530.

actually 5800's old themes are all working with the new firmware. just that they are not transparent.

Well, I know only the blue/white ones were initially available, so it could be a batch problem, but some reviews with the black/red model also have wobbly back covers and rattling slide locks.

Seems like it's not worth getting this 5530 anymore since 5800 with the latest V40 firmware finally got the kinetic scrolling and 5530 homescreen.

It's best to add just another RM100+ for 3G and GPS function.

In terms of function, yes, it is worth it. But in terms of design, no.
It's a matter of taste actually. If you have the need of 3G, get 5800. If you like good looking phone, get 5530.

5530's position of the stereo speakers are better as it is placed in front, better audio quality because of this . 5530 also comes with touch sensitive (red, green, menu) button whereas 5800 don't.

5530 is much more compact than 5800.It’s body volume is 20% lesser than 5800 which makes single handed operation quite easy.

yeah I do think 5530 is not worth it. u can add like 100+ buck and get 5800 with 3G support,GPS + large memory card which worth every bucks. functions > looks but myself like the design of 5800 more xD
