i think canon will be pressured to released its own version of micro four third camera.. so the more competitions in the market, hopefully the price will be down..

QUOTE(C-Fu @ Jun 19 2009, 06:15 PM) does anybody know how long does the battery lasts? and for what image resolution? I've always bought Olympus, and one of the main reasons is because of their really really long battery life. so many shots at one time. really a life-saver for me. i thought Casio has the best long lasting battery.. although their camera not famous here..

WHAT WILL YOU CREATE? http://www.steves-digicams.com/2009_reviews/olympus_ep1.htmlHe stole my title which title u mean? need to read more reviews before deciding whether it's really good in other departments.. IQ alone doesnt make a camera great..

QUOTE(wingster @ Jul 13 2009, 08:28 PM) Secondly, well maximum 2'' Shutter Speed might not be a problem due for the ISO performance but no af assist (in dim light, hardly focus or take more time) no onboard flash and horrible AF in over bright or dark light only max 2 second shutter speed?? omg now this fact has made the camera out of my contention.. can't take stars pictures

i'm wondering if olympus overpriced their camera since it's first and only kind of camera of its size in the market as for now.. if competitors came out with similar cam, then i believe price will dropped drastically.. so waiting waiting waiting for end of year, early next year

QUOTE(calvin_gsc @ Aug 18 2009, 11:17 PM) It would be about the Panasonic GF-1. It's gonna give Pen a run for its money. Stay tuned here. Maybe announced on 1st of Sept. The selling point for me would be built-in flash and the possibility of an optional electrical viewfinder (EVF). I believe at some point, I would still use flash than just high iso. oh goddamn yess i tried to keep away from buying this m4/3 EP1 due to no flash, but if this one got flash and the price is around EP1 price.. and its blacccccck!! helly es i'm going to own a m4/3 dslr soon! yea

QUOTE(hellfire8888 @ Aug 21 2009, 01:32 PM) yes and no..that price is including lens..and if they provide better grade lens..that would increase the price.. anyway no worry is all rumours maybe come out only rm2000 leh rm2k? i would be among the first users then i dont think the camera priced around 6K la.. it defeats the purpose of 'EP-1 killer' tag..

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Aug 21 2009, 10:20 PM) Olympus and Panasonic are working together. I doubt they want to kill each other..haha... Anyway, EP-1 and GF-1 is quite a different product. One is with IS and one without but with flash. Hard to choose liao. but most the lens if not all comes with IS now? why pana don't put in their latest tech, the Power OIS..

QUOTE(seaotter @ Sep 11 2009, 01:50 AM) There's two kits - the aforementioned pancake and the 14-45 from the G1. Prices starts from an estimated 899 USD thanks.. but 899USD almost translates to RM3K++ expensive than E-P1 guess i cannot own m4/3 camera anytime soon

QUOTE(m o m o @ Sep 14 2009, 02:18 AM) Hi guys, great thread here... I have some info on the Pana GF-1, the ASP for the GF-1 (with 14-45mm lens) is RM3,299; GF-1 with the 14-45mm & 45-200mm lens is RM5,198.00 wow suddenly thinks E-P1 is cheap now waiting for canon or fuji to come out with their own m3/4.. if they ever adapt that technology..
