YL Camera has it in stock as of late afternoon Saturday. RM2.6K for Single kit lens. Donno if they have white color or not. Don't think so.

QUOTE(ASAP @ Jul 19 2009, 04:58 PM) I think I am the one who bought the Pen from YL this afternoon, twin kit lens. Bought it expensive cause they think they have the only unit in KL. Anyway, I bought the camera and the flash. Use it mainly for traveling and when I do not feel like carrying my A900 along. Were you the guy I met? Cause I spoke to the guy about his camera.

Somehow, I believe this camera is more for casual use. Fast action photography is definitely not an area for this camera.

QUOTE(miniacs @ Jul 28 2009, 05:47 AM) 2 images from my trip to France. Both taken using the Olympus PEN, I am new in photography so please dont bantai me so much... This picture is taken at Bedoin which is the last town before the climb to Mt Ventoux. It was such a hot day, I was carrying the camera in bike bag and I got to cycle 55km to get to this town from my hotel. This picture is taken yesterday in Paris city itself the last stage of Tour De France. Sorry that I couldnt any closer to the riders, I was late to get to the race. . It's too small to judge anything in particular. But it does look like the first photo is underexposed because of backlighting.

I am keen for Panasonic's official announcement. But I think for styling, olympus wins hands down.

QUOTE(navilink @ Aug 18 2009, 11:07 PM) something big.. hmm could be buying diamond rings for ur fiancee? well i'm not sure why u want to sell if off, maybe to cover some cost? calvin what's the official annoucement by panasonic about? It would be about the Panasonic GF-1. It's gonna give Pen a run for its money. Stay tuned here. Maybe announced on 1st of Sept. The selling point for me would be built-in flash and the possibility of an optional electrical viewfinder (EVF). I believe at some point, I would still use flash than just high iso. QUOTE(gogo2 @ Aug 24 2009, 08:00 AM) I'd give 9/10. It lacks flash. And if the GF1 has electronic viewfinder, I'd give it 8/10.

The E-P1's esthetics just makes people fall in love with the design. For the GF1 it's the specs.

QUOTE(seaotter @ Sep 6 2009, 12:25 AM) You dont. That is the case of you screw the camera to the lens - not screw the lens to the camera hahaha BTW, Panasonic is releasing its 100-300mm lens next year, along with the fisheye and 14mm pancake. SO i can bet the 100-300 lens is at LEAST 40% smaller than the equivalent 4/3 lens. And we have yet to see what olympus has store for the system. But you do?

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Oct 18 2009, 11:24 PM) http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-FD-lens-to-Panas...#ht_3271wt_1166This come with aperture ring... you read the link...it said: Go ahead. A lot of good review with GF1. Its the best and smallest. The AF performance almost same like dSLR... good luck in getting it though. I see people having problem getting it with 20mm f/1.7 lens... ( don't get the other kit lens...its not as good as 20mm f/1.7) You mean the Lumix G Vario 14 - 45 mm F3.5 - F5.6 is no good at all? I was hoping to get wide angle zoom.

QUOTE(maxxspeed @ Nov 1 2009, 10:39 PM) does GF1 has good image stablalizer ? It doesn't have IS built into the body. IS can be found in its lens such as the 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens.

The GF1 is out of stock/backordered in most reputable US online retailers. Was considering to get one since the EP-2 is nothing spectacular.
