The forummer here is OK I guess, some people reading this thread recommended him.

As for the cheap lense, I actually was at the shop and asked the rough price.
*
Happened to me too, I went to Low Yat, SG Wang, Mid Valley and quote for the price. Got a few give higher, a few give lower price, but then those lower price are out of stock. Some even said I would never find it in Low Yat. doh.gif

End up I got it from LYN Forumer. tongue.gif

Do you need a lens adapter if you have a E-P1/PL1 and want to use Lumix lenses? And vice versa?
*
FYI, you may want to look at this:
http://www.four-thirds.org/en/products/matching/index.html

A matching simulator, allow you to choose a Four Third or Micro Four Third camera and match with the lenses of either type, and see how it looks like on it. icon_idea.gif

Not sure you all know about this already, TS if can please put this at the first page share to everyone. rolleyes.gif

i got the zuiko 70-300..with zuiko 70-300 u need to use the mmf-1 adapter (4/3 to m4/3 adapter)
AF is possible if u use EP1 / EP2/ EPL1 but with GF1 sry..can only MF

The sharpness is good. AF is slow but acceptable..

Ep1 + ZD 70-300 can be use for fashion..

hopes that help...thanks you..and remember tele is m4/3 n 4/3 pros...70-300 can give u 600mm reach at 35mm equivalent..
*
Thanks bro .. yea I've seen ur pictures before really nice. thumbup.gif

BTW, I think GF1 can use MMF-1 / DMW-MA1 adapter for the Zuiko 70-300mm can MF and AFS as well, according to this site:
http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/connect/g1.html

Haven't tested both so not sure which will be better to my liking, the Lumix 45-200mm is m43 sure full controls, 70-300mm can reach further but need adapter. hmm.gif

Is there any Olympus shops allowing lens testing in PJ/KL area? tongue.gif

Actually I found people say they are the same 43 lens to m43 lens adapter, only difference is the color and built quality difference. smile.gif

MMF1 - Grey and metal
MMF2 - Black but plastic ?

I'm talking about the MMF2 adapter that comes with the twice lens kit for E-PL1. Correct if I'm wrong ... tongue.gif

i have canon frens who try the nikon system and say the nikon menu is crappy and vice versa..there is no such thing as good menu system..it all depend on which menu system you are used to!
*
Ya lor, my first digital camera is Kodak EasyShare, 2nd is Canon PowerShot and now Panny Lumix. All also different menu system some menu dial at left some at right. It all depends how one get used to. smile.gif But then if the menu system is hard to learn or not friendly then is too bad la. User will have hard time to play with it haha. My friend who uses Nikon D90 even said my GF1's menu and buttons are so easy to use. whistling.gif

hey guys... i bought a canon 50mm f1.4 off ebay, and I have searched for a canon fd to m43 adaptor for it... but, there are so many of them...
so, just before i buy it, wanna ask for your expertise first... i heard from dpreview, they say have to choose carefully, make sure the internal paint is not gloss finished otherwise the photo taken by it will have hazy or reflective kind of unwanted effect.

this is the one i would buy:

thanks!

Bro, I think you supposed to get a Canon EF to m43 adapter for your Canon 50mm F1.4 lens, right? icon_idea.gif Is your Canon FD or EF mount. hmm.gif

gf1 user have no choice. They need to get 45-200mm for OIS. But since Wuahaha got 70-300mm, then maybe its really doesn't matter  sweat.gif
*
Ya lor ... GF1 doesn't have a built-in image stabilizer, so if got OIS is a plus. tongue.gif
