Guys, I am installing a new tint on my car, but need some advice.

1st : My budget is around rm1k ++, which brand will you guys recommend? Some people say V-Cool is way overpriced, while other brand is cheaper and gives the same quality. Besides, tints origins from which country will be better? Korea? US? or which other?

2nd : I always wanted to put a protective tint (Those tint that can prevent glass from broken, so will prevent more robberies, i forget what it's called), but a friend of mine say that those tint are dangerous especially when you accident, and the front screen is hit, those who try to rescue you from the side will have a hard time to pull you out (especially when the door cannot be open)

3rd : Last time I use v-cool on my car, at certain smart tag toll, sometimes I will face the problem of smart tag not detected. The same thing happened to my friend's car. Will all good tint have this problem?

How much? and what is your car?.. Which shop u went to in PG?

yea how much isit? Are u satisfy with it especially when your car parked under the sun for long hours?

Do you face any problem when using smart tag?

I drive BLM and I install WinGard Royale in Ipoh, 10 years warranty, including air-bubble.

If your car park under the sun for few hours must be hot, even which tinted brand also same. Just because hot air trap inside your vehicle and air-cond is off, no air cycle.
If you want the visible light transmittion lower, don't install WinGard, because WinGard visible light transmittion higher compare with V-kool.
Talk about smart tag, it should be no problem but I don't have smart tag. Fail to read Smart Tag after you install V-Kool? Never hear before.

I installed Air-Cool on 3 cars already... so far no smart-tag problem...
Air-cool got branch at Jalan Perak and also BJ I-Avenue...

ecotint is cheaper than v-cool, the highest range got 10 year transfable warranty. but i dunno how much, check the garage sales forum should have the price.

not me say air cool shit 1, just i read thru the forum, alot ppl complaint about air cool.

I got mine done 4 months ago at a shop in Jelutong called Speed Accessories. I went for the brand Infra-Red Premier Security Films coz it's highly recommended by the boss and I'm quite impressed with it. Heat rejection quite good i feel and no issues with smart tag. But it's quite expensive though, RM1700 for my whole car. However, the workmanship was very good I must say.

On the extra note, when I got my car tinted there were 2 brand new Harriers and a BMW 5 Series that were getting the exact same tints done too.

IR film ? BM got 1 branch quote me rm 888, but i dunno is same like yours or not, he quote can cut 95% IRR.

The RM888 was the cheapest package for IR films heat rejection 80% only if I remember correctly and they're not the security film type. 1 up is the RM1300 package which has 95% heat rejection only without security films and the highest range RM1700 is the one with 95% and security films. Can't remember the exact paper specs already actually.

Weird, my tinted films are not EcoTint brand. It just spells Infra-Red. I guess we're both talking about different brands. Haha.

im using ecotint , the tint are look not bad but the workmanship are sucks. i do at close to the penang jail there.

but i do have one place to recommended the farlim bandar baru supermarket.

opposite there have one motor shop and flowerist shop between both shop that they doing tinted and sound system.

i can confirm they are doing thing very well and can get your needs done pretty awesome.

I tried 3m Crystaline 60 and 3m HP50.. HP50 is very bad.. c60 is so so.. especially on heat rejection.

So, which shop is providing reasonable tint price and workmanship?

the window screen aldy tinted with S-cool at cheras there, quality not bad, so far still don have any bubbles
however i met an accident last yr, the big screen was cracked and i changed it, but still haven't tinted yet.
