QUOTE(Sp00kY @ Jun 25 2009, 07:13 PM) assuming u are buying a new 1785 which is 1900? get a 1740L instead... Sorry but no offense bro. I wont say that it is too tight, the lens is depends on your need and usage, cant just say that wheter a lens is too tight or what.28-135mm, IMHO it is too tight for APS-C. Assuming that you are using APS-C Like for myself, most of the time i mount my tele lens on cause mostly i will be using 70mm or longer. Anyway, no offense |

17-50 having a great f2.8 C/P value.
But on 17-85, u will get a fast focusing speed from the USM and also the useful IS when you dont have a tripod with u. I will say 17-85 is a good travel lens for the longer focal length, USM and IS. For online shopping, u may try Creative Photography http://www.mitmivec.com/cp/ |

QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Aug 7 2009, 11:09 AM) Hello, new owner of 1000D here. for 1, saw in Scott Kelby's book said tat a pro photog will put the hood on whenever, whereever.. u may use it for protection and reducing lens flareSome really noobie question is: 1) For std lens 18-55mm need a lens hood? 2) Which UV filter is good for a lets say 58mm lens? does it make a big diff compare a RM50 filter lens to a lets say a mid range filter about RM1xx? for 2, a high grade UV filter will cut down the light falloff to the least, means more light can go in. for example, a good 1 can allow roughly 99.7%-99.9% of light to pass but a cheaper 1 maybe only 97%. no matter 58mm or 77mm, you can always go for a better filter. I personally prefer B+W brass, Hoya HD and Hoya Pro 1 Super HMC just my noobie 2 cents.. This post has been edited by zzloo: Aug 7 2009, 10:54 AM |

50D falls between D90 and D300, totally different class.
50D having better built than D90, but D300 having a better AF system. |
