Asking this because I find that I'm getting less OOF shots when using the center AF point only and using the focus-recompose method.

Hey guys. Do you all usually use center AF point only or use all 9 points?

QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Jun 22 2009, 11:29 PM) Yeah thats what I did recently, using the peripheral AF points. Resulted in OOF shots with the 70-200. Whereas another similar shot using the focus-recompose method was sharp. I wish I could afford a 1DMKIIn |

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jun 23 2009, 12:54 AM) You can remove the grip anytime you want but the battery grip needs to be tight and contacts must not be contaminated with dirt or smudge. The dents are very normal. Maybe it's because I've sent to Canon for calibration. Heard somewhere that they only calibrate the center AF point. Not sure about that la My 40D had lockups several times. Beep but no reaction when shutter is pressed. Usually occur due to bad contact to lens. Remount lens and fully restart the camera by removing the battery. Something is not really right if your other points are not producing sharp AF. I find all points on my 40D to be as precise as each other. |

QUOTE(raptor_cZn @ Jun 30 2009, 06:48 PM) Just want to know if any 450D users here use DPP to process RAW images? What NR settings do you usually use for shots at ISO 800 and ISO 1600. I use DPP to process 90% of my photos. Photoshop skill lousy, what to do I'm using the older version of DPP where the sliders only go up till 10 Thanks ^^ I don't apply any NR unless I shoot at ISO1600/3200. Then only Chrominance NR +1 |
