Guys, I got a question to ask you guys. Why many ppl choose to buy their SLR in Shangrila at Midvalley over Boeing at Sg.Wang? More cheaper??

Yay, icon_idea.gif Just bought my 450D at Photo Shangrila at Low Yat. RM2770 for 450D with Kit lens + Hoya UV filter + 8Gb + Tripod + Bag. Worth it?

Viking, please add me into the list.

I share the same opinion. Malaysian made canon lenses are quite poor with build quality and QC.

2 out of my 3 50mm f1.8 is bad. One backfocuses off and on, the other has a piece of plastic foreign matter inside the lens.
My 55-250 IS AF motor konked out within 4 months. (repaired under warranty though)

Hi, how do I check this backfocuses problem? Will kit lens have this problem?

Wanna ask a very noob question here.

Is it ok if I put my camera in my car. Of course under the sun. Will it spoil?

I wanted to bring out my camera during outstation but sometime no choice to put it in the Hotel.

well. if u did read the manual, it is written there do not put the camera under the sun, or leave it in the car.
but hey, probably u could try. who knows the camera could withstand the heat biggrin.gif

anyway, to do so, get urself a really nice backpack to put the camera in.
or probably a small sling bag like lowerpro slingshot to allow u to bring ur camera anywhere.

No la..coz I'm going into Plants where no cameras can be brought in. Yet won't let it in the hotel..I got a sling bag already, is that what you mean by with sling bag then can put in the car??? shocking.gif

QUOTE(DaIdiot @ Jul 24 2009, 08:39 PM)
well, the chances of it getting stolen are probably higher than spoiling under the hot sun tongue.gif

I never leave my camera in the car unless i have no other choice
*
Hahahh...for sure I won't left it in the passenger sit area larr...there's bonet behind mar...

Haih..sounds like I can't bring to outstation lorr...I heard Kedah have good scenery and I never go there before..

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I am actually a beginner, I think 500D should suit me, but worry it will not satisfy me when my skill improve and I need a better camera so tot D90 would be suit me later... still a dilemma. I actually like the video capturing feature of 500D that D90 is limited to 5 mins only... and I was thinking 500D is a good all rounder for a beginner like me.
*
IMO, I previously also in look and compare about the video thing. It's very new indeed but come to ask about ourself, do you use that feature? If yes, do you view it in a HD TV?? if it's a laptop then forget about the comparison of having a video mode over 450D. Yet do you know the auto focus issue in video mode? Get a recorder instead. ^^

Yeah..after those question, in the end, I'm a 450D user..^^

It's a nice camera. thumbup.gif
