POSLAJU fuel surcharge has increase from 10% to 25%

Previously, within peninsular Malaysia for 500g and below:
(4.50+10%)+5% = 5.1975 after round up became RM5.20

Now, effective starting 1st October 2008, within peninsular Malaysia for 500g and below:
(4.50+25%)+5% = 5.90625 after round up becomes RM5.90

Between peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak for 500g and below would be: RM8.55
Between peninsular Malaysia and Sabah for 500g and below would be: RM9.20

Hi,

Need help here. I bought items from UK (first time), was given a tracking code starting with 2 letter RJ.  When I checked on royal mail, it said items already in Malaysia on 25/9. However when i called 1-300-300-300, the person said my package is not in yet.

This is really confusing. Has Pos Malaysia lost my parcel?

Hope anyone could help me or advise. Thank you.

no worries, maybe you will get your parcel even before you could track. smile.gif Poslaju only resumes on next tuesday. stay tuned

2)same as 1
3)not recommended to use poslaju
4)depends on which is higher, the volumetric or the weight. wrapped properly and check at the post office

Instant only tracking works if you post the items at PPL  (Pusat poslaju at major POS) center only - if post from small post offices - the items can only be tracked after reaching the destination's PPL.

after 1 business day.

Gosh, i juz realised postlaju price has increased today as i was sending some items. But it's still ok..considering for the past years' they are well below the market's charges.

starting 1st october 2008, well to be exact, 3rd october 2008... 1st and 2nd raya mah :S

Gosh... same here... posted 3 items, 2 proc and one motherboard 2day... suddenly i saw the stupid advertisment about rising of Fuel surcharge... =_="

Lucky i give the poslaju person at Bangi... where already very familiar smile.gif, after he weight the motherboard.. Holy COW! RM14++ for 1.1kg.. lol

then i used the Pos express to send.. almost 1/4 pricing... lol... SAFE! happy.gif

25% surcharge =_=" 15% increase of delivery.. looks like free delivery nowadays all = Posexpress smile.gif
*
Depends on what you're sending, not everything go poslaju. Posexpress cannot exceed certain weight, I think 1kg.... You exceeded... They might reject? Never tested this before, not that I have 1kg documents to send... haha

is post daftar safe/?
*
Well, depends on what you send. It's the best that you don't use poslaju, posdaftar, posexpress or anything related to pos malaysia for handphone.

can we send item in different packaging other than boxes?
my item is cylindrical
so can i just wrap it nicely and send using poslaju?

i put in in a box just now but they charge me by volume because the item is not so heavy but the box is quite big.so the charge it by volume coz it is higher.
*
you can just wrap nicely.

hey i bought something from a lyn member last week..he said he send on friday night through poslaju...but until today have receive...is it possible?

reading from above i realize the tracking number only possible if posted from the post office HQ..is it true?
*
you mean until today haven't received?
first, check your mailbox, or door see if they leave any notice and ask you to collect.
if don't have, get the tracking number from the seller, call 1300300300 and ask them or check at http://www.pos.com.my

the tracking number is ALWAYS possible even you post from a very small post office. they collect the parcel from the post office and send to the poslaju HQ, and they will process the tracking number there.

If The PosLaju Fail To Meet Me At Home For Specifict Time,

Then Poslaju Will Drop Me Collection Card.

That Collection Card Is Valid For How Long?

14 days if not mistaken. I think it is written on the card.

Pos laju won't increase but just those stamp, register and some low cost delivery.

Recently pos laju service is real sucks, 3 days delivery man.. Is there any alternative to it for sending 500gm below stuff ?

QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Jul 8 2010, 08:39 PM)
Yeah, now they frequently processed and sent in 3 days sad.gif
*
What? 3 days? You sure?

I just sent a parcel yesterday below 500g and it reaches the recipient today.

Yea, it was 3 days sad.gif But what choice do I have?

I think your recipient is in rural areas? If yes, poslaju will take longer time to reach.
