sadly, poslaju sometimes didn't honor that "FRAGILE" sticker, they treat all the parcel the same.
*
Normally I go to the Bangsar branch to ship out my parcels, they are really friendly and smart.
When they know I am posting some skincare products, they even asked whether I need a fragile sticker, and when I was still thinking, they already helped me to paste the sticker saying that it's safer. LOL!!!
With sticker is to remind the courier, but do they really care about the sticker, then we really don't know. doh.gif

lets hope so.. but they wont send it to my house, i'll have to collect from post office, i emails customer service today, they said whoever wants to take parcel on my behalf, must have authorisation letter from me...
*
Yeah, the person on behalf of you, need to bring along your authorization letter declaring your full name, I/C no., the person's full name, I/C no. signatures, etc.
If they sent back to the delivery counter near your housing area, then you can collect it yourself when you're back home. Or I think it is possible to ask them to send to you again when you're at home. tongue.gif

How long will they keep it? i wont be around until mid september..
*
hmm...if not mistaken, on the notice stated 14days. For example, they attempted delivery on 25/7. But addressee is not available. Then on the notice stated you are allow to collect it started on 28/7 (few days later only can be collected as they need to return to your nearby delivery counter).

The timeframe is about 14days. If there's no one to claim it after 14 days, then item will be returned to the sender if not mistaken. But it's always better to call them and inform them your current situation, so that they can arrange to hold the parcel for you.
I believe everything can be arranged since you are the recipient. tongue.gif

Thanks solsekuin44,

regarding the warping, i actually want to deliver them with the box, especially power supply, too big to put in any envelop hehe.
But how to warp the box? i feel newspaper kinda awkward. Thinking about warping the box with bubble warp, is it stupid  hmm.gif
*
Inside wrapping you can wrap whatever you like for your product safe. but the outer of the box have to be in brown paper or so called brown sugar paper. Then use marker pen to write down recipient's name, address, contact on the box. <-- this is a must, even if you don't do so, the staff will ask you to write it on the spot. It's in case the Poslaju form koyak/disappeared, they still able to recognize the parcel itself.
Then fill in the Poslaju Form. That's it! ^^

Hi everyone, i send a package through pos laju to Dungun, Terengganu on 2nd sept, and its still at the Dungun post office, they haven't attempt to deliver it yet. Any compensation for late deliveries?

[attachmentid=1768688]
*
You can call them or check out the contact number of Dungun PO, call them to ask what's happening with your parcel as it's still pending at their PO. They are mostly helpful. =)

i called them juz now. i gave tracking number n they said da parcel is wiv them. cannot deliver due to incomplete address.... but my phone number is there. r they supposed to call us for address problems? or they juz return to da sender? but it takes so long n da item is quite urgent to be used before this holiday... haiz..

btw, wat time shah alam poslaju office close today?
*
If they can't simply believe you, then faster ask your sender to contact them, tell them the correct address again and ask them to resend again. We have the right to ask them resend I think. I used to do so when I'm not at home and missed my parcel.
If you're convenient to collect it yourself, then better go there with your I/c and and tracking no.

anyone got experience with this?
*
yup, just signed up a month ago I think.
First you need a valid company. I've done everything online. A helpful officer from HQ helped me all the way until the account is made.
I found other forumers said that you can actually sign up on the spot at the PO. But only a few main PO provide registration service.
So if you want it fast, better go to HQ. Or can call toll free to ask everything you've got doubt. Operators are very helpful.

Documents you need:
Company Registration Cert
Form 9, 24 and 49 of your Company
I/C photocopy of yours

These are what the officer asked from me. After they verified, you will then receive a lot of PL1A and other courier forms, and those useful plastic flyers for you to pack your items.

You can also ask the officer during your registration, what is the pickup contact number of your area.
What's the pickup cut off time in your area.

After that, you can call them whenever you have parcel to post out. The postman will come to pickup from you. =)

Hope the above steps help! smile.gif

thx for sharing, any extra charges such as registration fees or deposit needed?
*
I didnt pay a cent to sign up. The officer just told me my bill will be sent to me every month.
But I saw others said that deposit is needed and must hit the monthly target. The officer never told me this too. I can say, I don't know the T&C before signing up myself..>,<
And for normal posting rate, I also read from other forumers here that it's cheaper with an account. (is it true?)

wah.any reason why poslaju won't send parcel to office area on saturday?
i have a parcel suppose sampai today, but end up "Unable to deliver the item due to missed delivery'
then call them ask what happen, they couldn't answer me.then ask them to deliver it to me on tomorrow.he said no delivery to office area on saturday.ask me wait monday.so fed up
*
hmmmm, maybe they think that most of the office working days are Mon-Fri. And they don't want to waste their energy to attempt delivery then found out office is not open on Saturday. So they set this rules "No delivery to Offices on Saturday"????? I guess so. LOL

have u guys seen a "EM" instead of "EN" code in front?

what does it mean?

it tracks like normal poslaju does...

if u have posted numerous things b4 then u will notice the EN4xxxx
but for the EM1xxxx ?

I tot the seller gave me wrong tracking number
*
Hmmm..I thought only ED or EN for normal Poslaju tracking code. Haven't seen EM before too. Guess the sender typed the wrong alphabet of M instead of N. lol

anyone here know how long poslaju keep the parcel in their office...FYI recently i bought an item and the seller send it using poslaju..but at the time poslaju attempt to deliver there's nobody at my house..i can't get it myself bcoz i'm working far from home and there's no phone line in my area...just satellite internet and i can't call my family to get the item...please help..thanks
*
Hi dear, normally you will receive a Sorry Letter from Poslaju if they found that no one at home to receive the parcel. It stated there you have to collect your parcel within 14days if I'm not mistaken. After 14days if there's no one to collect the parcel, they will then ship bak to the sender. ^^
You may have another choice, that call them to ask them rearrange the delivery to your house. (but you need to make sure this time there's someone at home ya!^^)

i got few questions regarding poslaju. anyone can help?

1. what if no recipient in the address during the time of delivery? put a note in letter box ask u to collect urself in poslaju branch?

2. what if the poslaju staff lost our item?

3. what if the recipient address is wrong or not complete?
*
1. If addressee not at home, postman will leave a Sorry Letter in the letterbox. In the card stated clearly which nearby branch should you go and collect your item within 14 calendar days.

2. hmm..so far I have got no problem with Poslaju..hmm not sure.^^

3. If the address written wrong is not valid, normally postman will make a call to the recipient. To confirm the address. For example my own experience: No.64 written wrongly as No.6A. So postman couldn't find any 6A in this housing area, so they gave me a call to confirm with me the correct house number.
But if there's actually a house with No.6A, I guess they will attempt to that house, But, the recipient of course will reject the parcel as the recipient name is unknown. In this case I'm sure they will return to the post office and either call sender or recipient to confirm with the address.

Above are some of my experience. All in all you may call pos Malaysia to ask them if you are facing any problem.^^

may i ask, what is the difference between Air Parcel and Registered Mail to overseas?
Both provides tracking number right? But how long do they take to arrive destination?

It happened to me when I wanted to post a small parcel to overseas, I thought of using Air Parcel, but the staff told me better to use Registered Mail....(weird, why?)
Thanks!

Registered post is for items less than 2kg. For parcel more than 2kg, we have to use E-parcel.
*
ohh thanks!....so both of them take the same period to reach? Only different that less than 2kg we must use registered mail? ^^
