hi everyone. not sure if my question belongs to here but I'll just ask away first..
Does anyone have experience shipping items from overseas using SAL? Are they handled by Poslaju or other post services after arriving at Malaysia?
For my case, the magazine I've ordered from Japan was shipped at 8 July using unregistered SAL. I have yet to receive my item to date and I'm getting kind of panicked as I seriously have no idea where my item is currently.
So.. if it is handled by Poslaju, we will need to give a signature when we have received the item like the usual Poslaju procedure right? And if worst comes to worst, they won't be able to help in anything if it is misdelivered or lost?
Thanks in advance.
i used SAL once, which was few weeks ago.i ordered a cd frm a japan site and i received it 8 days after they send out.usually it might take weeks or even months,if they have lots of parcel to send.so,i can't guarantee that everyone will receive their SAL parcel so fast.and, they are not handled by poslaju.they are handled by normal postman, which means they will send your stuff to cawangan serahan.unregistered SAL is abit risky as you don't need to sign when receiving the parcel.and,if its peak month,it might be worst.it might gone with the wind

or whatever might happen.
if you buy from japanese online store, try to email them and see what they say.usually they will ask you to wait for 1-2months.if its from rakuten or from those bidding site, good luck to you
