what is the difference between air parcel and surface parcel?
I check on the Pos Malaysia website and they have 2 different parcel rates

Air parcel should be faster than surface. but air parcel is E-Parcel / Registered post. Not Poslaju. Air parcel will take longer than poslaju. Air parcel will take around 13 to 15 days to arrive US

Check Fast Mail for poslaju.

Today me and my family waited for a parcel from 10 am until 11.40am and yet their tracking status "Unable to deliver the item due to Addressee not around at time of delivery" at 10.40am... They didn't even call us to check whether we are at home or not instead they just put "not around" so that they can cepat cepat balik...

for poslaju shuld be Rm160 and above

I got some urgent document to send. Since Tml is raya. Cannot send. Day after Tml Is merdeka day. Public holiday also. So if I send on thursday, will it arrive on Friday? Or in this raya week they are slacking lol.
Fyi: Today can't send: cos no car out

Thursday still holiday. So u need to send on Friday. Then receiver will receive on Monday. Since this saturday is 1st Saturday of the month , pos off

Pos daftar / Registered will be cheapest. But take longer time. Last time i posted a parcel less than 500gm. Cost around Rm14.xx .. It took 13 days to arrive my customer

What is the difference btw pos daftar and pos laju?

Pos daftar = Cheap but slow. Tracking number provided but cannot track once the parcel out from Malaysia.

Poslaju = Expensive but Fast + Safer. Tracking number provided and trackable until receiver received the parcel.

Pos Malaysia will normally charge 15% fuel surcharge, 10% handling charges and 6% GST

Tax in other country will need to be claim by the receiver.

My parcel has been posted on wednesday, but why is it that when I check on the poslaju tracking, I don't see anything, it says invalid. It has happened a couple of times, but I still received my parcel. I know it's Raya now, so when exactly will I receive my parcel? When will the post open again?

Wednesday is so long.. u should have contact them to ask. Now that its holiday, u have to wait until Friday. Friday they start work again.
