just got my E72 AP at RM 1,273 2 days ago. love the phone very much, but don't really have much time to play around with it yet. something to check with all the taikor here, how can we configure the phone so that it will only access to internet thru "wifi", instead of gprs/3G? because most of the time when I try to run web browser, fb, youtube, or setting up the email, it will automatically connect to gprs/3G instead of my wifi (connected).

another thing is, when i view picture, how to zoon in and zoom out? i try "5" key but not working...hmp...

last night installed the gaminr 5.00.60. today for the 1st time positioning, it took me about 20 minutes (inside the car). after that it work find for a few minutes, but then the navigation screen hang, but voice command still working (weird). then second time try again, able to connect to satelite signal within 10 second and calculate the route, but then after about 5 minutes, the software hang again, not responding untill i press the home button to get out from it.

appreciate that if anyone can provide a fix for the garmin, because most of the time i will use it la...

same firmware with you (teelim), same problem with the garmin, map navigation hang after 3-5 minutes, then voice command continue but for another 3-5 minutes, software totally hang...

yea yea...space bar sometime just stop working, need to restart. hmp...overall i love this phone very much, just hope they can have update version to fixed all the bugs. but for the garmin, maybe will try other version and see if the same problem happen again...hmp...

last night i re-installed the garmin, but this time to version 5.00.40. haven't have chance to try out yet, but later when going out for meeting, will give it a try in the car. anyway the problem like sometime space bar not working, sometime the opti navi stop working, until restarted the phone is still happen...but not very frequent la...maybe once in a few days.

just now try the garmin twice, when i going out for appointment, i start it, manage to get positioning within 10 second, but then when it start to navigate, only on the map, no voice navigation although i already double check the audio setting. after 2-3 minutes, the software hang.
when i coming back to office after the appointment, i try again, same thing no voice navigation, only showing on map, and it hang again after 2-3 minutes, and not able to exit from the software until i manually restart the phone.

hmp...still figuring how the handphone shop guy doing it? i tested 5.00.60 and 5.00.40 now, both will hang after a while...

this morning tried 5.00.50 with 3D mode, working fine for about 5 minutes then i arrive at office d. but with the 3D mode, the garmin is somehow responding very slow especially when try to exit.

later will try with the 2D mode and see if better.

lets get garmin work on our E72...rock E72~!

yes it memang that short one...so call easier for you to carry around since our phone can USB charge by using that cable. but not convinience if you are trying to connect to workstation for data transer, need the USB extend cable most of the time, because you don't want to see your E72 "sleeping" on the floor or hanging behind your PC tower casing.

Just now tried 2D mode (north), working fine, but sometime the software will slow in respond, but overall is acceptable. why can't use the 3D mode? is it due to the software issue or hardware issue neh? E72 not performaning enough on 3D display?lolz...

ur E72 is AP or Ori? I think your current firmware is not support chinese language, you need to flash it to the firmware whereby can support chinese.

I get the AP E72, so the seller already help me to flash the firmware to support chinese. dun worry, you can input chinese like normal with the keypad.

as for the original set, i think can go back to nokia and ask them to do it for you.

I think ur pic is not focus properly. normally i put my finger on the track pad and wait for the autofocus. when the focus is fixed, the rentangular box will show green color and got a "beep" sound, then only snap...

I think you can contact your seller as well, alot of handphone shop or nokia will provide this service, i guess...canot support chinese is a pain for me, because i text alot in chinese.

just check with all the E72 here, how long the batt can last after the full charge? mine can only last for 1 day. i normally use for text (50+-), phone call (1 hour+-), then wifi (10 minutes), take photo (5+-), can only last me 1 day...hmp...like not very good ler...anyone can post here about your average usage and how long batt last?

1 week?normal usage as in how?wa...then my batt got problem or what ler?hmp...

with the feedback from the user, at least we know average how long the batt can last, and under what level of usage.

I believe that this thread is mainly for E72 to share everything about their E72, so please feel free to ask, comment, and share about your E72.

so far i am happy with it, except for the batt life and also the GPS positioning...everytime also take about 5-10 minutes...sigh~anyway to improve the speed?

Added on December 15, 2009, 10:28 amjust downloaded latest version of youtube for E72, it is actually automatically prompt for download is you launch the previous version.

the new version is faster, view in full screen, load extremely fast...but 1 problem, i dunno it is using wifi connection or using data services to stream...nvr ask for connection and i can't see the wifi icon is connected when i run youtube...neither the 3.5G icon is not transmitting...hmp...

so far we get the garmin working fine, but with the 2D map view. with 3D map view, will hang after a few minutes of navigation...welcome to the E72 family dude...

having same problem with u, the back cover is not tight...when u hold the phone on ur hand, you will like the back cover is not "click" firmly on the handset body, leave some gap...feel it especially when typing sms with 1 hand...

any way to fix it ah?
