Heard from someone in GSMarena's posted comments that this phone has already being launched in Europe and Singapore. Can this be confirmed?

If that's the case, hope that they somehow improve other components and the circuitry to save more power.

Can we make a proper fan/user page of E72 in lowyat forum? Where's the TS? Maybe can put some of the FAQ and common problems of E72 in first few page...It would be really helpful for newbies to get to know more about this phone...

Well, I guess 1.6k is the price set by Nokia...
Probably you could find cheaper at other place. But on the other hand, there's risk of the shop changing accessories. |

QUOTE(Tookia @ Jan 2 2010, 01:57 PM) My E72-1 was sent to the Nokia phone hospital for the fourth time via my retailer! I gave up going to the Sunway Nokia Centre as they just reinstalled the firmware and the problems remained. Went to Amcorp mall centre and they were of no help. To get the autofocus to work...touch the Navipad. Press on it to take picture.Main problem is that I couldn't get my email settings right in the phone. When set up Yahoo mail through the so-called easy email menu, the user settings in my Yahoo account came up as my Hotmail settings and it was reversed in my Hotmail settings! When selected the option to send and receive emails, darn phone kept asking for my password when I had already input when setting up both accounts. Sunway Nokia guy couldn't explain why. Called up Nokia hotline at 1300-88-1600 and an American speaking lady kept saying "I understand" (understand what, very annoying) but told me to set up through Nokia Messenging Client (what's dat animal?). When I keyed in memos in my calender my phone kept connecting to my email Yahoo and Hotmail accounts! Also camera won't auto focus. Rectangular frame remained white most of the time. So pics sucked bigtime in quality. Aiyah, Nokia stressing me out. I swear that this will be my last Nokia phone, man! I've installed Garmin Mobile XT and using Malfreemaps. I also faced the same problem of Garmin hangs up after about 5-10 minutes of navigating. Seems that nokia maps is more stable, only problem is have to pay.... Good news now that Nokia have offered the Ovi maps for free...can't wait to get it. But I'm now in oversea, so will wait till I get home to download it (to avoid roaming charges). We can only download it using phone and by telco network only, correct?
